Apparently the chef has changed so the great reputation the restaurant had is outdated! The staff were great and very nice, but the food was not good at all, with a tiny portion for me and a huge one for my friend! I recommend waiting for a new chef before going there.

I love the Lodge for business lunches. It's quite formal and benefits from well spaced tables a point which is always appreciated by business folk over a lunch or dinner. The food is pukka French cuisine which you can select from an extensive menu and there's a decent wine-list, too. Polite discreet service.

We arrived early in the evening and did not need a reservation. The wait staff were formal, but efficient. Due to the early hour, we dined all alone and this dampened what social ambiance there might have existed at other hours. This is not a place to go if you want to hang out with your mates, drinking beer and... More

We went on a busy Saturday night, a group of 3 which evolved in a group of 11 guests. The owner Christine was very accommodating despite the already crowded restaurant. You better book ahead! Christine's husband being French, the quality is not neglected in their kitchen! Fresh carpaccio and steak tartare. A table d'hôte at 8,500 CFA is offered (3-course... More

Although a short stay in Dakar, this restaurant was definitely a favorite. The beef filet, with both the cheese and pepper sauce (9,500 CFA), was excellent and came with some very tasty potatoes au gratin. Definitely save room for desert as well. A must try for anyone staying at the Fleur de Lys (located two buildings down) and definitely worth... More

I've been to Le Lodge a few times, and it generally was always pretty good. THe seafood soup en croute is excellent. In general, the wait staff have always ben pretty bad, and the older gentleman who seems to be the senior waiter is pretty much always extremely rude. The last time we went I order the shark steak, and... More

A group of us "crashed" Le Lodge on Valentine's Day. Fortunately, we were dining early by Senegalese standards (around 730pm) and they were able to accommodate us, although when we left at 10 the restaurant was packed. The set menu was not available due to the holiday, but the five meals we ordered ala carte were excellent. One of the... More

I ate there this past December. We had 5 in our party and everyone was very pleased. We all got the 8,500 CFA plan. you get an appetizer, a main dish, (the seafood lasagna was to die for) and a wonderful dessert. And also they bring you other things in between, Very nice atmosphere and also very attentive.

I was here 5 years ago and thought it was super. Raved about it, and was glad to see that it was still here, still one of the best regarded restaurants in Dakar. So, went back with a friend. It's walkable from the King Fahd Palace, but it is a long-ish walk and you will be pestered by every passing... More

Nicely decorated, intimate ambiance in a quiet area of the chic Almadies. The food is in the higher price and quality range.
