Good food, bring mosquito repellent

We had some excellent moroccan food in a special environment. Friendly staff. One can sit either in the garden or inside. When we were there, we felt quite some mosquitoes, so you may want to bring your repellent. Restaurant provided coils on our request.

I have had a dinner at this place during my visit to Dakar and must say that the food was very good. The restaurant has also a nice garden where you can enjoy it in a nice seating arrangmenet. I have tried the Pastille de poulet which is a kind of pastry filled with chicken meat and then deep fried.... More

I haven't been to Morocco, but have heard Le Ryad has very authentic food. I had tandoori chicken and it was hot, tasty, and quick. Nice atmosphere with good service but lots of mosquitoes in the evening. Staff brings a repellent ring but it doesn't help much. Maybe choose an indoor table at dusk.

Nothing nicer than eating traditional MoroccanTagine in the cooler weather in this beautiful indoor out door restaurant, I am partial to the Apricot and Chicken Tagine, washed down with several glasses of hot mint tea, (Made the proper way with fresh mint), the service is always impeccable, the staff are the same that have been here for years and know... One of the best in Dakar. All of the menu options I've tried have been great. Relaxed atmosphere offering indoor and outdoor seating. Just watch out for the hordes of mosquitos at dusk.

This place is right in the heart of Almadies and offers authentic Moroccan food. The place is well maintained and does not have a flashy décor. For the main course we had seafood Pastilla and Tajine. Both the items were well prepared and tasty. They were very reasonably priced too. The service met the expectations. There is nothing extraordinary about... More

I had a chicken tagine, which was delicious, but mind you, it did not come with any rice or any vegetables (nor advice from our waiter that the dish would be ONLY chicken, very different from tagines I have had in Morocco or other countries. It was delicious, so I would go again and just ask for vegetables and rice... More

I've lived in Senegal for a few years and it's always a treat to find a restaurant that is authentic, tasty, reasonably priced with great ambiance. Look no more! Le Ryad has it all. The owner, Sadia, is a delight and takes every opportunity to make you feel welcome. The staff and service are excellent. And if you like Moroccan... More

A warm welcome is assured for all guests by the owner, Sadia. Le Ryad serves really authentic Moroccan and other North African cuisines in a comfortable Moroccan setting with tables inside and out. The Tadjines are to die for... as are the slow pot-roasted shoulders of lamb. A good selection of Moroccan wines, too
