Description: I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of our hotel and were charmed by the decor and the location of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and put us at a table overlooking the ocean and a small private beach (very very clean !!). The food, fresh seafood tagliatelle for me and the grilled steak for my husband, was delicious. We enjoyed the restaurant so much, food and ambiance, that we decided to return the next night for dinner. This was even better if possible. Ocean view, moonlight and waves crashing on the beach, with a wonderful "chicken Yasa" and grilled fish was more than we could have asked for. Then it got better as the manager "Alpha" suggested we have our final drinks on the beach. No better way to end our vacation than sitting on a moonlit beach sipping drinks. When we return to Dakar the restaurant Ngor will definitely be a stop and we would recommend to anyone who likes great food and ambiance !!! Bon Voyage

Oh what a regret we have. The food used to be delicious and generously served. Now it comes to the table sometimes uncooked, or poorly cooked. he service is not good. And you really have the feeling that you are annoying them. Prefer Noflaye or Sunu Makane.

The first time I went, having heard so much positive about the place I was expecting a great meal, but I was under-impressed by the food and slow disinterested service. Maybe caught the chef and waiters on a bad evening.....but no, went a second time and it was worse. Will try somewhere else for the close-to-sea experience next time

We absolutely loved this restaurant right on the sea. Visit just before sunset if possible. I hadthe Plat du jour, which included fresh sea urchin, a dozen oysters, and crab legs. All for the equivalent of $12 US. My wife and daughter had curried shrimp and calamari in ginger. House wine was Sancerre. All were outstanding

Been to Le Ngor a few times already, last time yesterday night. It never disappoints me. Starting with it's beautiful location, with the waves breaking 5 meters away from your table and the stunning views. I'm a big fan of their grilled Thiof, one of the freshest and tastiest fish I have ever tried. Service is very friendly and they... More

Never had a horrible meal there, the ambience is fantastic and you can not beat the view! Fish is always fresh and the beer is always cold. Great place to take out of town guests, the view never fails to blow people away!

The Ngor is built overhanging the ocean and has spectacular views. The service is fast and efficient and the food is stunningly brilliant. This restaurant is a must.

This is a really beautiful place to come for a drink or dinner. You are literally sitting on the seashore and have great views up and down the coast. Perhaps a little bit of an expat haunt, but not necessarily the worse for it.

This is the ultimate venue for a late afternoon drink and a few tapas after work as you watch the sun descend over the Atlantic and listen to the waves crashing on the beach below you. It's situated very near to the Pointe des Almadies - just round the corner from the USA Embassy on a private beachfront and mini-cliff.... More
