I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We stopped in for lunch on the recommendation of our hotel and were charmed by the decor and the location of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and put us at a table overlooking the ocean and a small private beach (very very clean !!). The food, fresh seafood tagliatelle for me and the grilled steak for my husband, was delicious. We enjoyed the restaurant so much, food and ambiance, that we decided to return the next night for dinner. This was even better if possible. Ocean view, moonlight and waves crashing on the beach, with a wonderful "chicken Yasa" and grilled fish was more than we could have asked for. Then it got better as the manager "Alpha" suggested we have our final drinks on the beach. No better way to end our vacation than sitting on a moonlit beach sipping drinks. When we return to Dakar the restaurant Ngor will definitely be a stop and we would recommend to anyone who likes great food and ambiance !!! Bon Voyage

Great spot for fresh seafood!

Food is good, and you can paddle in the ocean while you wait. Go in the evening to catch spectacular sunsets on the water. Waitstaff is good.

N'gor is a very pretty restaurant -- the artistic building and the view by the sea makes it worth a visit, especially when you want to impress a visitor. The food was fresh and tasty, although not phenomenal. Price is reasonable. I recommend going to this place at least once to see the great job they did on the decoration.

A short walk from the Route des Almadies, this is a small treasure! Beautifully and simply decorated with small seashells attached to every part of this building, it overlooks the Atlantic. The seafood, especially the shrimp are the best!

Come often enough, and you notice that each experience at Le Petit Ngor is as unpredictable as the pieces you'll find in the resident artist's objet trouvé courtyard. If you're in a hurry to be served, come with the early lunch crowd, and avoid weekends when families brunch while their children play on the beach. Service tends to be more... More

Wonderful setting. Many tables overlooking ocean. Nice breeze and quiet. Informal and unassuming. This is not a new or trendy cafe. The physical features (i.e. tables, chairs, etc.) are dated but adequate. Service is excellent and the there is a sense of pride. They were proactive in addressing insects. They made the problem go away. The cafe is dated no... More

I had arrived in Senegal (from Indonesia) 2 hours before and was taken here for dinner. Despite jetlag and major exhaustion, the ambiance perked me up as did the seaside location, the views and the air. I had fresh ginger juice that my host says is pretty much the national drink. She had ginger mixed with hybiscus - a bit... More

Oh what a regret we have. The food used to be delicious and generously served. Now it comes to the table sometimes uncooked, or poorly cooked. he service is not good. And you really have the feeling that you are annoying them. Prefer Noflaye or Sunu Makane.

The first time I went, having heard so much positive about the place I was expecting a great meal, but I was under-impressed by the food and slow disinterested service. Maybe caught the chef and waiters on a bad evening.....but no, went a second time and it was worse. Will try somewhere else for the close-to-sea experience next time

We absolutely loved this restaurant right on the sea. Visit just before sunset if possible. I hadthe Plat du jour, which included fresh sea urchin, a dozen oysters, and crab legs. All for the equivalent of $12 US. My wife and daughter had curried shrimp and calamari in ginger. House wine was Sancerre. All were outstanding
