Though I am not a die-hard fan of Italian food, this restaurant definitely satisfied my cravings. The first time I went, I tried a vegetarian pizza which was delicious. The second time around I ordered a vegetarian calzone which was also top-notch. I was a little upset I wasn't able to try their tiramisu, probably my favorite dessert, just because... More

Great atmosphere, great view and great selection of yummy pizzas. Monday night quiz is good fun too - if you come first you get your food and drinks free however you will have to run the quiz the week after!

We found Sol E Luna by accident on our morning walk, can came back for a casual night out for pizza. The atmosphere is lively, with lots of families in attendance. The decor is traditional Italian with dark wood and red checked tablecloths. The deck is large and offers great views of the valley below. The menu is large, but... More

Is this supposed to be Italian food? If so, then ensure that the chefs have some appreciation of proper Italian cuisine. Or just call it continental international food. My pumpkin gnocchi was a doughy super ball atrocity swimming in a tasteless cream soup...to add, it appears the waiters overly cater to expats...so if you dont look like a stereotypical expat... There is a huge menu including pizzas, pastas, fish, meat etc and a nice selection of wines from Italy by the glass or bottle. The food is always pretty good, the prices fair and the services professional.

We first came here for the quiz night, and it soon became a regular for us - so glad to read that its continuing. We only ever ordered the pizzas's to be honest, they were always well prepared, and one of the few Western items in Kigali that would have felt like good western food anywhere. If you are in... More

Great food especially the rabbit! The main attraction there is the quiz night which has it's challenges but brings alot of foreigners to one place, I lost 3 times in a row despite desperate attempts to answer the questions correctly. It's a little pricey but a great place to spend with friends on a Monday night.

Sol e Luna's pizza does taste good--almost as good as any Rwandan pizza--but not as good as Papyrus's or Sundowner's. If you want pizza in Kigali, you should go to one of those places. [Generally, you should get Papyrus for dinner (build-your-own) and Sundowner for late night]. The atmosphere at Sol e Luna is as nice as everybody's said. It's... More

We visited a couple of times and enjoyed the food, the ambiance and the quick arrival of our dishes. We had both pizza, pasta and a beef dish. The portions were large and as we had also ordered salads we were well satisfied with the quantity of food. The pizzas were a little overcooked and dry but the other dishes... More
