Had a great dinner

I went to Wakkis with my son and ordered dinner for myself and wife. We enjoyed it so much. We always enjoy eating here. I also love their watermelon juice.

Wakkis looks more like a nightclub than a curry house. A grill confronts you as you enter and the smells are great. We sat upstairs (a mistake due to grill smoke) and had beef samosas to start...more like beef-bombs but they were tasty, stuffed with meat and came with sauces (tamarind and a chilli mouth-burner). Mains were Goan fish curry,... More

I had the best indian food hear, and I know this because i have been unable to find a restaurant of equal standing in terms of taste. Be it in Australia with a large Indian community running Indian restaurants or my indian friends cooking, I have been unimpressed.

So I ordered food and it was supposed to be chicken tandoori, it was chicken quite alright but nothing like tandoori. Would have returned it if I was visiting the restaurant.

Popular. Good menu. Good food. Nice atmosphere but the service was a little slow. I have been there a few times and always enjoy it but there are other Indian restaurants in Abuja which are as good but cheaper.

Wakkis consistently produces the tastiest Indian in Abuja. Delivers to local hotels (such as the Nordic Villa) but also has a pleasant atmosphere for dining in.

Wakkis, a well-established Abuja favorite. Mostly expats and Nigerian professionals eat here. I always feel comfortable here. Wood-bamboo heavy decor. Solid, well cooked Indian food. Fresh juices like pineapple and watermelon. The music is sometimes too loud.
