I am very fond of the Fufu dishes. I loved in particular the one with peanut butter sauce, chicken and spinach. The prizes are a bit high, but worth every Cent. The equipment of the restaurant is rather traditional. if you expect something elegant you are wrong at that place. The personal is friendly. If you want to experience real... More

We wanted authentic African food, and we got it. Food was delicious, local, lots of variety and we were glad we went. Service was very prompt. Great value. Just the location is a bit off, we took a taxi and its sort of in an industrial area. Felt a little out of place, but still very glad we went, and... More

I visited the place for the first time together with an African colleague. The second time I was there with a Dutch colleague. The food is distinctly African, as well as the service. The waitresses serve with a smile and are very good humoured. The food is generally very good. My African colleague was overjoyed with the okra that was... More

it has the same advantages as Balalaika. May be the menu is somewhat simplified. But still OK. Wifi on the terrace under the Ficus tree is of course unbeatable.

A little out of the CBD, catch a taxi. This restaurant does not look flash but it was worth visiting, Oryx ragout and kudu cameroon curry were delicious, wine and beer were both good and cheap

5-minute walk from Protea Thuringerhof. Had it mild, with oryx, which was rather tough... although was told oryx is more tender than beef. Quiet atmosphere, even on a weekend, maybe locals eat late, and was there around 6pm. You can choose to have your curry mild or regular. Mild was good for me. :)

I think that this place really has potential; I think it just needs a little fix-up. The service was great and the waitstaff really friendly. I had the prawn curry with vegetables which was really good and my husband had the seafood curry with okra- bad mistake. The seafood was not very fresh but in retrospect it was silly of... More

It is a unique experience in Windhoek, where you get the feeling of really being in Africa rather than sitting in a franchise restaurant. I just love the Chicken Mafwe! Price wise it is not cheap but is well worth it!

We had lunch at this place and while we were the only ones - the service seemed to be very good and attentive. We ordered vegetarian curry and the Cameroonian curry and they were both freshly prepared and delicious. I would recommend this place for people looking for good lunch and dinner options at a good price in Windhoek.

Menu offered some interesting african choices - the Congolese curry was great. Service was fine. Restaurant (indeed the whole city) was empty when we visited, so not much atmosphere but i think we were unlucky.
