A very popular hideout in windhoek which seems to be very busy regardless of which day it is. If you are going to be late (which is after 7! as evening drinking starts from as early as 3pm I am told), please make sure to book in advance. The staff are very friendly and very eager for you to try... More

I regularly travel to Windhoek on business and have gone to Joe's on several occasions. The atmosphere is unique and it is a nice place to hang out and have drinks. Can be incredibly busy at times and booking is recommended. Parking can also get tricky at times. The food side of things are a different story alltogether. It is... More

There is no visitor coming to Namibia, who didn't hear about Joe's Beer House...and indeed location, design and atmosphere is inviting. Although most disappointing was the poor cuisine: soup was served cold, so was the main course and it was not what you'd expect from a truly "Namibian restaurant". Service was delayed and after prolonged awaiting we had to signal... More

Joe's Beer House is probably the most emblematic bar in Windhoek. Well decorated, a nice and friendly variety of customers, most of them tourists with whom you can easily share your experience in Namibia, and very good staff as well. While you enjoy your beer on the bar and observe all the decorating stuff, you really feel the spirit of... More

I and my family go often in vacations to Namibia. Last time was January 2013. We allways go to Joe´s because is very consistent. Good place, good food, good price depending on what plate do you choose to eat. The boocking works a 100%. Game plates are very good. Specially quebab with several kinds of game. The draft beer very... More

This is great either for a first night in Namibia as a preview of game to be experienced or a final wrap-up night. To enjoy it and not be suffering from jet lag, we went our last night. Enjoyed the kebab with all the different types of meat. We had previously had all but zebra while in Namibia, so it... More

We visited Joe's Beer House on 15th April , 2013. Great location, vibe good ,however we were very disappointed in the food . My husband ordered lamb shank which was indelible . Asked to see the chef who declined to come and chat, the waitress was very embarrassed and reduced the bill. However the rest of the meals were not... More

Joe's Beer House offers a big selection of game prepared to perfection (and other meals too). Portions are big and food is very tasty. It tends to be crowded, so book your table in advance. Definitely a place to go if you are a steak lover!
