Authentic Chinese cuisine

This was difficult to find as it appeared to me to be not much more than a small doorway between crowded market stalls either side and on the pavement. Once upstairs and in the main restaurant, there was an authentic feel to the place. Ordering dim sum, we were taken to a separate table and... read more

This was difficult to find as it appeared to me to be not much more than a small doorway between crowded market stalls either side and on the pavement. Amazing restaurant with great employees. As I and my friends came in, the servers greeted us with respect, not like Grand Canton restaurant- totally no manners. The food was excellent, try the Peking duck, so delicious and not overpriced as compare to Grand Canton Restaurant, super pricy. The only drawback is the parking during the daytime, but night time- it's... More

We dropped by this restaurant since someone mentioned that it is the first Chinese restaurant in Mauritius. Food was so so, was nice to eat some dim sum and pork after few days in Mauritius. This is the second Chinese restaurant we dined in Mauritius, the first being Hong Kong palace in Grand Baie. Overall, a nice place for quick... More

The food is very tasty. You need to taste the sizzling absolutely! It can be a pain to find a parking during the day, so it's better to go at night.

as mentioned by Wongtra some time ago on tripadvisor, a refurbishment is eagerly needed and the aircons to be fixed once for all. with 35C outside and three aircons not working, the temperature inside was unbearable... as you were eating you were sweating like a jogger... it was impossible to enjoy the food. guests and waiters became nervous and almost... I've been to the restaurant several times. The food is good, service and setting quite good. Recommended for a quick meal during lunch time.

And you will be thinking what the hell is a Chinese restaurant famous in Mauritius for? Well think again folks. The best dimsums, lipsmacking as you'll ever have. Actually this place has a bit of history behind it. It was one of the first restaurants opened by the chinese immigrants to the country in the part of town that is... More

Have not been for a long time.I don't know if the food is still the same or has changed. One thing is certain. The restaurant is no more as crowded as before.May be there are more choices now.I think a good refurbishment is important to attract new patrons.

We have ordered - Spring rolls. Prawns in sweet and sour sauce. Fish fillets on a black bean sauce. Sautéed Squid with green vegetables. Fried vermicelli Singapore Style. Everything was tasty may be for except sautéed squid - as for me the taste was weak. For those order + 2 soda water we paid 1320 rupies, taxes are including the... More
