Fresh thai in the most unexpected place!

This restaurant is managed by a Belgium owner (who makes waffles on occasions for the ladies) and his wife (a Thai national). They grow all vegetables and herbs used in their recipes. Fresh spring rolls made to order. Pad thais made with fresh ingredients. The owner is also good at waiting... read more

I have been to Soukothai many times, and this place may be pricey, but man, is it worth it! The food is exceptional, the selection of belgian beer is amazing, and the owner comes and greets all his customers and asks how they are doing. The walls are covered with gorgeous Malian artifacts, and the staff are all very attentive,... More

food I ordered was ok, ont delicious though. Don't expect traditional thai dishes; more general asian food, Chinese I would say

Attention to detail, greatly varied menu, Thai cooks, on hand advice from informed servers, beautiful dishes, lovely ambience in the middle of a very dusty hot town

I've lived in Bamako for 2 1/2 years and have been to Soukhothai only twice because you always need a reservation. The place isn't big and really fills up. It is beautifully decorated. The fact that smoking isn't allowed is fantastic, since it is a small enclosed space. I think the curries are pretty good as well as the Dim... More

I found the food ok, had a Thai curry (vegetarian option only yellow curry and they did not have any Tofu but nonetheless the vegetarian curry was more expensive than some non-veg curries) which however was rather bland (not spicy at all, nowhere near authentic Thai food). The nems were great, papaya salad (Som Tam) I also eventually managed to... More

I'm not an expert on thai food, but the choice seems limited. Very small restaurant, so you'd better make a reservation, and plan on being there earlly, as they don't like letting customer in after 9:30 and kitchen close at 10. Atmosphere is nice and romantic, but probably the most expensive in bamako. (along with badalodge)

The place is very lovely and romantic, not very Tai style but take over a real French. The food is a little far away from real Tai food, not spicy enough. But the rice and chicken is good. The price is a little expensive. 餐厅环境一流,泰式风格比较少,倒是有很浓郁的法国浪漫情调。食物特别是汤辣味不足,泰式口味不明显,不过还算好吃。价格有些小贵,需要提前预订。
