Went there on a Monday evening and there was not much people inside. It's probably packed on week ends. The staff was nice and the menu was pretty much simple appetizers and/or desserts. We soon realized it was a real churascaria, a la Brazilian. Meaning there's plenty of different meats grilled and served to you until you say 'no more'.... More

We went there with a group of friends and family ( aboiut 12 persons), craving for a meat fix. This was my first visit and I was looking forward to try this place as I have tried other churrascaria in Brazil and North America before. We were quickly seated as the restaurant was not busy ( weekday). Drinks were ordered... More

OK, made a mistake with this place...we popped in for a quick snack, not realising that it was Le Carnivore. I could not understand why the menu has a list of delicious sounding meats with no prices and "etc" at the bottom. Waiter was great, gave us the "you guys are thick" look and then pointed at the price of... More

Some may disagree, but I an convinced that a smaller place is better than a big factory... This is the philosophy of the managers of this restaurants. They don't have thousands of visitors every day, and we did feel being welcome guests for that reason. In our group people liked different meats, but everybody left the restaurant satisfied. The put... More

While the concept is implemented almost like in Nairobi , there are a few differences - in Nairobi the eating is outside in a large open space and the variety of meats is huge - in Antannarivo the the food is served inside , limited amount of meats and some have been grilled a few times ....

what a contrast to the rest of the city, its a bit odd walking in here since you have the really poor just outside, you really don't think your in one of the poorest places on earth! the restaurant has a glass wall that over looks the city and the bar is all neon lighting and contemporary. The tables are... More

I am a tour operator in South Africa and restaurants is actually my job! The "real" Carnivore restaurants are in Nairobi in Kenya and in Johannesburg in South Africa and actually offers "real game" including many antiloppes, Kudu, Springbok, Oryx, Crocodile, Zebra, Bleesbok...ect and are excellent meat. This Carnivore in Antananarivo just looks trendy, hip and happening but that's about... More
