Tana meat-fix...only go if you are really hungry

OK, made a mistake with this place...we popped in for a quick snack, not realising that it was Le Carnivore. I could not understand why the menu has a list of delicious sounding meats with no prices and "etc" at the bottom. Waiter was great, gave us the "you guys are thick" look and then pointed at... read more

Nice restaurant with beautiful views of the city (book in advance the two tables in front of the windows. Avoid salt in the center. Better the tables near the windows or near to the bar). Not too expensive; good meat, cool environment. Great for romantic dinners by candlelight or business lunches. The manager is very good, very present and courteous... More

Have been at the carnivore in Nairobi and near J'burg... this one is trying to copy a little too much.... but also, the decor is very different and I'm not sure it goes with the concept. It tries to look trendy and I think it lacks a bit rustic look that goes better with the concept of grilled meat at... More

Went there on a Monday evening and there was not much people inside. It's probably packed on week ends. The staff was nice and the menu was pretty much simple appetizers and/or desserts. We soon realized it was a real churascaria, a la Brazilian. Meaning there's plenty of different meats grilled and served to you until you say 'no more'.... More

We went there with a group of friends and family ( aboiut 12 persons), craving for a meat fix. This was my first visit and I was looking forward to try this place as I have tried other churrascaria in Brazil and North America before. We were quickly seated as the restaurant was not busy ( weekday). Drinks were ordered... More

Some may disagree, but I an convinced that a smaller place is better than a big factory... This is the philosophy of the managers of this restaurants. They don't have thousands of visitors every day, and we did feel being welcome guests for that reason. In our group people liked different meats, but everybody left the restaurant satisfied. The put... More

While the concept is implemented almost like in Nairobi , there are a few differences - in Nairobi the eating is outside in a large open space and the variety of meats is huge - in Antannarivo the the food is served inside , limited amount of meats and some have been grilled a few times ....

what a contrast to the rest of the city, its a bit odd walking in here since you have the really poor just outside, you really don't think your in one of the poorest places on earth! the restaurant has a glass wall that over looks the city and the bar is all neon lighting and contemporary. The tables are... More
