Great place for a good breakfast. Food is first class and service excellent. Value for money. I loved the omelet Niger.

There not so many restaurants in downtown Conakry (Kaloum). If you do not want Lebanese or Chinese fast-food then Le Damier is a safe choice. It is a pricey one though with dishes easily exceeding 12-15 USD. The restaurant is first a good bakery and you can take away excellent sandwiches.

Excellent place for a sandwich or a light snack at lunchtime. Also does breakfast if you in town at that time. Has excellent patisseries and chocolates too. Has a great Saturday brunch. Well worth a visit if you're in town but not that it is closed every evening and all day Sunday.

Conakry has awful restaurants on the whole (unless you eat local), so this Euro-style Patisserie is a relief, delicious croissants and good coffee at the same price you'd pay in Paris. The eating room is stuffy and dark and not very cool.

Great place, even if waiters do not always seem too motivated. But please someone tell them to stay open for dinner, not only for lunch!!!

As of this posting, I'd say Le Damier still ranks numero 1 in terms of best food in Conakry. People will tell you its expensive, but they are referring to the Saturday brunch which is a bit pricey but good quality. Otherwise, the menu is reasonable and presentation is always excellent.

Here is a nice ambiance similar quite similar to Europe. The coffee and breakfast is a nice reminder of Europe. The food is ok but a bit overpriced (such as the automatic bottle of water for 30,000 Francs) and the service staff will not pay attention to you at all once they have served you the food. So despite bored... More

We ate here several times while in Conakry. All of the salads were fresh, unique, with wondorful dressings. Sandwiches were large and tasty, as were the burgers and other entrees. Enough variety on the menu to find something for everyone. Also plenty of pastries, chocolate, or frozen treats for dessert. Meals are served with a glass of fresh mixed juice... More

When you entered and leave the patisserie you have this very unpleasant lady at the tile who is always there. A part from that the quality of the patisserie is very good especially for Conakry. Also it is always good to know that when you sit to eat your patisserie, prices of each pieces is doubled by 2.
