So the rooms are quaint and rather lovely. The menu is in italics. Almost the ideal place for a brunch, or simply to wind down after shopping at the market across the way. But you will need very deep pockets if you want to become a regular. Reassuringly expensive? I had an omelette (excellent), Hot Chocolate( OK), bread (fresh), orange... More

This is one of my favorite restaurants and the best you'll find in Conakry. Great food and service in a very nice environment. The manager is especially friendly and goes out of her way to make you feel welcome. Each day they have specials that are worth a try! And the desserts are amazing! They also make their own chocolate... More

This is right next to that marche de Niger by the orange shop. Excellent ice cream, really good bakery, the cakes are decent and french style, and the food which is only available in the daytime, is really top notch. Inventive french food, and the african classics done really well. Traditional but done with a talented chef and it's not... More

The breakfasts are a bit pricey, but very tasty! It's in a neat location and there are loads of delicious pastries to purchase at the counter.

There not so many restaurants in downtown Conakry (Kaloum). If you do not want Lebanese or Chinese fast-food then Le Damier is a safe choice. It is a pricey one though with dishes easily exceeding 12-15 USD. The restaurant is first a good bakery and you can take away excellent sandwiches.

Excellent place for a sandwich or a light snack at lunchtime. Also does breakfast if you in town at that time. Has excellent patisseries and chocolates too. Has a great Saturday brunch. Well worth a visit if you're in town but not that it is closed every evening and all day Sunday.

Conakry has awful restaurants on the whole (unless you eat local), so this Euro-style Patisserie is a relief, delicious croissants and good coffee at the same price you'd pay in Paris. The eating room is stuffy and dark and not very cool.

Great place, even if waiters do not always seem too motivated. But please someone tell them to stay open for dinner, not only for lunch!!!
