The peppered snail and gizard was awesome, so was the chapman and the staff were very helpful. However, being a nigerian living in Nigeria and just visiting Ghana, the nigerian soup (egusi) wasn't as impressive as I expected, but i guess my expectation was way too high.

Great food, lovely atmosphere with attentive staff!! Went 3 times on my visit to Ghana, and the portion sizes are such that I had to take home the left overs on each visit. The tilapia is moist and seasoned well, and the same with the grilled chicken. A must try is the fresh ginger drink, and they also have other... More

I don't know if to start from how nicely cooked the meals were or how efficient the staff were I ordered the popular Ghanian delicacy Jollof Rice, fried plantain and pepper sauce and I was not disaPpointed We also ordered fried yam, grilled fish and pepper sauce You should try this place when you visit Ghana!

I loved visiting the Buka. We sat in an outdoor space upstairs and got the best of the breeze. Dinner was ampesi with kontomire- boiled plantains with a lovely sauce and some tilapia. Huge portion. I couldn't finish it. I love the art on the walls and the somewhat retro feel.

Though the website promises food from about 5 neighboring countries, the menu only showed Ghanaian and Nigerian food. That said, the guinea fowl groundnut soup with atike and a local palm juice was absolutely finger licking cuisine. Service was good and very patient with the many questions we had on the various dishes. A place to return to!

Buka is well situated in a nice part of Accra. Service was excellent as was the good (I had the goat curry with banku). I sat in the upper outdoor dinning area that had a nice cross-breeze through the room. I dined there at lunch.

We're pretty adventurous eaters, so were happy to try the pan-African food at Buka. We tried a couple different fish dishes with flavored rice and beans. (I can't recall the names, we basically threw ourselves on the mercy of the waitress.) Everything was delicious, and they were quite accustomed to western tourists. The credit card machine was "broken," so we... More

Much talked about but in the end disappointing - most of what we wanted was not available despite it only being 7.00pm

We've had a couple of lovely meals here and will definitely be going back. We have tended to go there for a light, healthy evening meal (fish with veg, and fresh fruit juice to drink) but it looks like there's a varied menu and lots of more hearty options as well. It's outside so can be hot, but the eating... More
