While volunteering in Accra we visited this restaurant on many occasions. We would always choose to dine in as it was air conditioned so we would escape the heat for a short period of time. As the restaurant was located on the second floor it was nice to watch the bustling street below. On most occasions we would have the... More

Papaye is a very busy restaurant. They have both takeaway and sit in options. You may need to wait for sometime to get a table on the weekends. The boneless grill fish was superb and the fried chicken was good. Never try the grill chicken as it looks ungrilled. The fried rice or even the chips is too huge serving... More

The first day I heard about Papaye restaurant since setting my foot in Ghana, I must have been day dreaming until I heard about it from a close friend who had visited the place some few days ago. I was very much determined to satisfy my curiosity and so I took some time off from my busy schedule and ate... More

I had heard about this place from relatives but was reluctant to try it as I wasn't keen on eating fast food in Ghana, however, I was pleasantly surprised when I finally decided to dine there on the penultimate day of my trip. I ordered grilled chicken with rice and coleslaw. It came quickly, was delicious, and a great price... More

I liked the fact that it is situated in the heart of Osu where I can have access to every thing that I want

This place is an institution in Osu, they have been making chicken and rice before the road was paved and oxford street became Oxford street in Osu. Great value, very large portions and still packed every day. If you want a great value, quick tasty chicken and rice then this is the place to come.

The grilled chicken with fried rice is a good value at 12 GHC. Moist chicken and huge qty of rice. Service is speedy, even at lunch. It's pretty consistent, although I've never tried the fried chicken, which seems to be popular among Ghanaians.

Papaye fast-food joints are in fact the most popular in the city of Accra. Don't forget to have a taste of their delicious meals all time of the day. You will be happy you did. But that of Osu is the most popular whilst visiting the popular 'Oxford Street' of Accra, where people never sleep.

I have been eating at Papaye ( first at the one on Oxford Street, Osu and then later on Spintex Rd opposite Robin Hood hotel) since 2008. I must the quality has remained the same and price doubled from GHS5 to GHS10. This is probably the best you will get around Accra metropolis for this amount. You can even grab... More

We waited for about 20 minutes to get seated, and another 40-odd minutes between when our order was taken and when we got our food. To be fair, the waitress that served us was very polite; she would slip in a nervously uttered joke to ease the tension while we waited. I was there with friends that I hadn't seen... More
