This was a great introduction to the food and culture of Ethiopia. The food was delicious and the show was very entertaining. It was the beginning of a great trip for us!

I visited the Yod Abyssinia while in Addis Ababa on a work trip and needed to experience authentic Ethiopian culture. This is the place to visit. The restaurant smells of incense and with traditional sitting arrangements. The food was the tastiest I had while in Addis Ababa. As you have your meal, traditional dances from all regions of Ethiopia are... More

While the parking leave a lot to desire you will notice the full scope of Ethiopian traffic right there. However when entering the restaurant its all about good athmosphere and Ethiopian culture.seats are packed to the brim and you better order in advance for seating if you want prime seats. Well with prime seats i mean close to stage as... More

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel, tour guide, and taxi driver. The food was top notch. The "traditional meal" is what American's expect from Ethiopian food. It was very tasty. The guests at the next table gave us samples of their food which was more unusual for us and was a lot of fun. The service was slower than... More

Great for the experience, especially first time visitors to Ethiopia. The food is good and well presented. Have some of the local honey drink.

The food is good, but It's all about the ambience here. A non-stop show of native dancing keeps the Yod jumping all night long. It makes for a tremendous memory of Addis, especially for the first time visitor. Bring cash, though. It's not Visa-friendly.
