Good music, food and dancing with always enough tej and wine to go around. Not a great place to go if you want to chat but great place for seeing a large part of Ethiopian culture all in one night!

This is always a highlight on a visit to Addis Ababa BUT Book front or 2nd row seating as back row has a constant parade of staff and clients walking past you ALL NIGHT LONG. we alos had a wedding party in front of us with videos camers and LIGHTS which did not help . We were recommended this as a good place for local food and culture. Despite typically finding dinner shows of local culture quite hackneyed, this was the total opposite. The singing and dancing were extraordinarily good with some dancers displaying moves that were extremely impressive. The food too was beyond expectations. We ordered the fasting platter and one goat meat special,... More

Just two of us with our guide, who talked to the lead staff member when we arrived, so we ended up in the front row. Food was mediocre, service less than mediocre, but the dances started out from "interesting" and progressed to fantastic. Don't leave too early! The lead male singer was very good - second male pretty good -... More

I was craving an injera meal my first night in Addis in April 2014 I saw an video on Yod Abysinnia on the Ethiopian Air flight from Dulles and I liked the idea of a dinner theatre experience. I arrived with my daughter and we were seated at a small round table. Dancers were on the stage performing to ethnic... More

This experience was by far one of the best I had on my trip. The food is excellent, the dancing is mesmerizing, and the overall environment is amazing! If you have the chance to go to to Addis you HAVE to try out this restaurant. Be sure to try the local honey wine as well!

I loved the food but the portions were too big. So I asked for a dogie bag? First of all, I should have known that this was not happening. Why? Because it took forever! then the server came and told me (very matter of factly) that I'll never see my food. oh well. Live and Learn. I'm NOT going back... More

Decent music and show. Food is pretty good and very traditionally served. But, it's so cramped! And, unless you are lucky enough to be front row, your view is lousy.
