Usually I would expect a cultural stage show like this to be very cheesy. Colleagues took me here one evening, and I enjoyed it. The dancing and singing were high quality and not over the top. The food was really good. I recommend it!

Yes, most patrons were visitors to the city, but this is not a tourist trap by any means. The stage performances were lively, entertaining and very loud, and essentially rendered any conversation impossible. Most of us were strangers to the cuisine, but nevertheless enjoyed the food. I believe the spiciness of the dishes were toned down to accommodate foreign palettes.... More

I came here as part of a tour group and had an absolute blast! The food was fantastic and plentiful, (of course, we opted for the buffet), and the show was amazing! The dancers gave it their all and were very tightly choreographed. When it came time to leave I was sad to go, the energy in the building was... More

Make this your first stop on any first time trip to Addis. For what should be a tourist trap... I was very pleasantly surprised. Great show and music, good food, local wine and friendly service. The locals go here too!

Great music and dancing. Food was so-so. I was "dragged" on stage at one point to join in the dancing, I don't know how these guys kept this up without ever breaking a sweat. Prices were very reasonable and while it is admittedly "touristy" there were lots of visiting locals there too.

Thus was frankly the worst Ethiopian food we had in two weeks in Ethiopia, but...the entertainment was fabulous. In contrast to the dhows presented to and for tourists, this place was packed with locals. Both the dancers and the singers were terrific. The only improvement I would wish would be some way of knowing the origin of the dances. We... More

This is one of the large tourist-oriented show-places for dinner in Addis Ababa. They serve traditional food, traditional-style. They will cycle through dance routines from the various tribes of Ethiopia, intermixed by local singers and Amharic music. There is a four-piece traditional band playing live music. Food is ok, service is ok. The restaurant can really get packed most every... More
