I have been here two times only, but both times have I had a very nice meal.Last time I tried their vegetable buffet (italian style) which was a very good choice. Excellent vegetables, cold cut meat, cheeses etc. For main course I had the veal in red wine sause. Also excellent, although a bit more sauce would have been nice.... More

We went to castelli expecting the best Italian restaurant in Ethiopia, what we found was Mediocre food and lousy and rude service in a very cramped environment. The only element we enjoyed was the parma the rest of food was truly bad.

We started with the salad bar, which is very tasty. You can choice as much of little you want. Afterwards we took a pasta, very nice taste. Also the service was good. I definitely recommend this resto!

Horrible, terrible, awful; all words that aptly describe this restaurant, but I can't simply leave it at that and not elaborate. A group of us made a reservation based on the recommendation of a trusted source in the travel industry and, well, let's just say they won't be telling anyone to go here in the future. The moment we walked... More

I was blown away with the fantastic dishes this restaurant served and as I have said, I have not had better in Africa ever. We had an array of food to start, beef Carpaccio and Parma ham with salad, and for main various pasta dishes with chili, cheese and ravioli. Beautifully presented, home-made and delicious, all of it. Make sure... More

Clean, best salad bar in the country, friendly waiters, dignified.... Start with the salad bar, continue with tagliatelle in truffle sauce, and top it off with cassata con coiccolata!!!!!

Castellis had been operating for more than 50 years. It doesn't buy in to food fads and focuses on providing fresh cooked quality Italian food. The antipasti buffet is excellent for vegetarians, and for carnivores add the rare roast beef or prosciutto as a treat. Favourites include home made truffle fettuccini, polenta and sausages and fried calamari.

Have you tried the off the menu pasta: tagliatelle with ham/cream sauce. OMG!! I have not been able to replicate or find it anywhere else in the world. (I've lived in Italy) The rudeness of the owner is cultural. We in the US and are accustomed to certain customer service. Customs are different in different countries. Do we not think... More

Obviously a lot of variation in the reviews of this place. I went with a large group of business people and we enjoyed it. The antipasti platter was very good as was our selection of cured meats. Remember, you're in Ethiopia. Their options are limited. The pasta was good, the wine prices weren't over the top, the service was ...... More
