Right off Bole Avenue, Aladdin has an extensive selection of mezzes, kebabs and other delights. The clientele was almost all expats. The service is graceful and pleasant and the food is fresh and generously served. The noise level is low. The decor is simple but friendly. Try it next time you're in Addis.

Eaten here many times in last 18 months - good food, good service (with a smile) - what more can you ask for?

I have eaten here now on 2 occasions and both times proved to be really good. The service, the food and the prices were all great. A friendly welcome followed by very attentive staff. Good menu with plenty of choice, served quickly, well presented and very tasty. It is most definitely a place I shall return to and I would... More

We ate early on a midweek evening and initially the place was empty so we selected a table tucked away in a corner. By the time we left the place was humming. We chose a chilled wine in stock and a selection of delicious, and filling mezze. Only the ginormous chicken (?) wings were left uneaten; everything else was thoroughly... More

I am in love with Aladdin's tzaziki sauce. There's something about the fresh herbs and the chunks of cucumber that completes it. I came here about 2-3 times while I was in Addis, and was pleased everytime. We shared a bottle of wine for about 15USD! Not too shabby. The food is expensive by Ethiopian standards, but affordable for foreigners.... More

The meze was good but the meat was quite dry and there was very little atmosphere. Lovely staff though.

Ate here with a couple of mates and had the Veal. It was by far the best Veal I had ever had. Both of my colleagues tried a little and agreed, to the point that we went back a few nights later for us all to have the same.

The menu is fairly standard, but the food is well-prepared and the service is good. Aladdin is a reliable choice for Addis, where dining choices are limited.

It may be the best Lebanese food in Addis, but that doesn't mean it is good. After having returned to Ethiopia after two years of wonderful Lebanese food in Dakar, Senegal, I was sadly disappointed. I did not enjoy the food, the service or the atmosphere and will not return, no matter how high my craving for hummus and babaganoush.
