We had heard about this place but were told it was essential to make reservations. Our friendly taxi driver, Moses, rang up and made the booking and just told us to turn up and mention his name. We arrived about 7.30pm which is a little early if you are there for the music, which starts between 8.30 and 9.00. Our... More

Definitely the place to go when you are in Praia and on the Plateau. Our meals were excellent. The intimate space is ideal for live music. The only drawback was the maître d': he was too quick to suggest the most expensive option. A little too much hustle. We felt more comfortable once he finally gave up on us and... More

...so i'm told by the locals. I went on a tuesday and it was a good show. A group of women play, sing and dance batuque, which originated in Santiago. the dancing is pretty impressive. You can go there for a drink, though most of the space is a restaurant, with the stage at one end. They do decent, filling... More

I visited Praia for a few days with a friend. At one point, a guy approached us and told us there was a performance in Quintal da Musica. So we went to have a look. The waiter was extremely friendly. We got a table, right in the frond of the little stage. He made us a special cocktail, which was... More

I went there with a group first, and it blew my mind. The food, the service and the music were all on point. The next time i visited Praia, i decided to go with few friends and the experience was the same. I'm sure the next time i'm in Praia, i will definitely be visiting again

Of course it is expensive according to caboverdian standards, but the food was excellent and music was top-level. You can be sur that you'll envoy your night.

Not really my cup of tea. Some of the artists singing/playing here are great, but it's a bit too formal, with well-dressed people dining all around you and no place to mingle with locals. If you go alone, you tend to end up alone. As a jazz or folk club it's way too stiff for my personal taste. Having said... More

second time there, after 10 years, not much has changed, it is ok, long time to get the food but the music is there. typical capo verde restaurant without risks or excellences, the bill is higher than other places but the music and the large quintal (couryard) are a good reason to pay little more. An average place but surely... More

I was there on a friday night and found it's a surprising genuine place. Had very good food ("caldeirada de peixes", sorry if not perfectly spelled) but above all enjoyed the performance of one of the brightest living voices of Caboverde: Celina Pereira. The price of 2200CVE was not cheap, considering Caboverde's standard, but the show was worth to pay... More
