Very expensive and not good, atmosphere is good, close to the beach. Slow service, food not really up to the price paid.

Nice sushi and steak but skyrocketing prices ($70 Steak). Menu is not suited for children. Nice decor and beachfront view.

We were flying home that night so wondered whether to risk the sushi, but braved it. It was OK. Credible but lacked the edge of a real Japanese restaurant. Then again it was on the beach and the temperature outside was about 30 so a definite fusion of concepts! Japanese should be dark and bustling, so maybe I was on... More

The services on beach are very poor. Once a place has this kind of services you have to pay more attention to the customers.

The best thing about our meal was our waiter. His service was impeccable, one of the best waiters I have had in a long time. Luanda is one of the world's most expensive cities, but the prices here are ridiculous for the amount and quality of food. We ordered sushi for 5 persons and I had to go home and... More

Great atmosphere and really good food. The waiter was excellent in arranging food from the lounge menu for the kids. Unfortunately it took forever for the children's simple food to arrive. The adults had really sushi and good wines. The delay of almost 45 mins in the kids relatively simple sandwiches almost ruined their good mood. Even so Shogun has... More

Been there two times, it is a great place to take the sun and enjoy the view. Prices are a bit high though, but just Luanda prices in fact... Try the jug of champagne, gin and lots of fruits. It is light, perfect when thirsty and very good !

When friends told me i thought it was a joke: how eat raw food in Angola without get sick? We frequent Shogun since it's opening and it's been great. The thing is that Brazil has got tradition in Japanese cuisine and I think that this place was run from the first place by a Brazilian that passed the knowledge. The... More

Really good sushi paired with excellent caipirinhas make Shogun a very good place for dinner. Being on the beach is a bonus, and although newcomers to Luanda might find it expensive, you soon realise that this place offers pretty good value as well.

Woman fell through the wooden decking, other than that expensis, It is situated in the beginning of Ilia. There has been recent robbery in the area by motorbikers as well on the min road going out to Ilia.
