I went there several times at dinner time but it was closed. Turned out it opens only for lunch. The set menu price is 38, plus 4.5 for tea and ice cream and 1.5 for water. So it can out to be 44 dinar per person. The appetizer is ok with four kinds but the beef I had is overlooked... More

This is a very nice and traditional place and a must when visiting Tunis. First of all, reservations is a must otherwise, you either have to wait for a long time or you are out of luck. El Walima is one of the best restaurants I have ever visited in Tunis. I was literally intrigued by the hospitality of its owner : Princess Salwa Bey, a descendant Tunisia's Mohamed Lamine Bey. Best traditional food DT Tunis.Great service and amazing welcome. Decoration is "authentique". nostalgic moments with Prinncess Salwa and her husband Ridha (the owners of the restaurant). Dont hesitate to passby. Enjoy

I was invited by a friend to Elwalima restaurant it's located in old Tunisia streets , we we're welcomed by the owners who married couple for 57 years , the lady is the daughter of the last Turkish rulers in Tunisia Princess Salwa Bay .
