Great building, good food.

Once you get over the strangeness of having to knock on restaurant doors to be let in, this was a very enjoyable experience. The waiter and Maitre De were very friendly and seated us despite not having a reservation. The setting is fantastic - beautiful and ornate traditional decor. You really... read more

It was an excellent dinner arranged it for our Wedding Anniversary, the service was warm and excellent, the authentic Tunisian decor and architecture was everywhere, good old medina smell, and there was a "Kanun" musician with his folkloric outfit. We had an excellent dinner, Desert was on the house, and it was really delicious. Sure I will coming again.

Disappointed! Nice atmosphere but the service was poor. The food was not amazing for what you paid. For these high prices you would expect something better. I have eaten in restaurants all over Tunisia and I was not impressed by the service, food or price. Lovely location and decoration though.

Hard to find like most places in the old Medina . Lovely interior, music a bit loud. Food OK but luke warm and fatty.

You'd be hard pressed to find a more stunning Tunisian residence to dine in. The tiles and dining room are magnificent and elegant. There's nothing modern about this restaurant -- from the decor to the food. It's very "old school" Tunisian cuisine at the high end of the price scale; most of the entrees are in the 25-35 Dinar range.... More

This restaurant is located in the medina and you probably need to have Tunisian friends or a good guide to get there. The building is historic and beautiful and the traditional Tunisian food is excellent. Service is attentive and efficient. It was the best meal I had during a two week visit to Tunisia. Highly recommended!

We Are Lost On The Medina And We Arrive At This Restaurant. The location is beautiful, an ancient palace very typical and fascinating. There was a wedding during the dinner and a man play music, super nice. We eat cousin cousin royal, very good and plenty. Romantic!

The food here is good, better than most Tunesian restaurants, but the service level is not at par with the food.

The food when we went was decent, we had grilled fish and brik. The prices are on the high end of normal Tunisian prices, but you are paying to eat in a nice setting. However, I would recommend going to Dar Hammouda Pacha or Dar El Jeld if you are able to instead. The staff were very attentive and picked... More
