It was a bit difficult to find the restaurant amidst the winding lanes of Medina. Once i got there... all i can say is that enjoyed every bit of it. The staff were very courteous.. food was excellent.. the looks, the taste, smell.. all my faculties were activated. I had lamb cooked in the oven with potato.. Recommended.

Great food, especially couscous, with pleasant service at a very fair price. And don't miss the desert!

Popular (a reservation is a good idea) with traditional, simple and good food. Despite being busy the manager was friendly and service good. Good price, too. Sadly the plates were cold and so were my stuffed artichokes. No alcohol and I think it was non-smoking (a rarity in Tunisia). Normally only open for lunch.

A hidden gem in the heart of the Medina. We arrived when the restaurant was closing, but the owner allowed us to stay. When we mentioned we were on our honeymoon, he provided recommendations and brought out a wonderful dessert on the house. The food was outstanding. The owner was a warm, lovely man who gave us a multitude of... More

Traditional Tunisian food, great service in a charming atmosphere. Wonderful respite when you tire of the hustle and bustle of medina shopping.

In addition to the a la carte menu, the specials change with the seasons and often include forgotten homemade recipes such as stew peas with white truffles or original creations such as couscous with squid ink. The service is nice and makes you feel home. Last but not least, the location is ideal in the heart of the Medina of... More

Little restaurant, 20 tables, in the heart of the Medina. The The food is divine, spicy salad dishes, tasty soup, spicy stew tajines dishes, grilled fishes. The service is attentive, pleasant but simple. Nice friendly athmosphere, make you feel home.

apparently it is connected with Chez Slah (same family or something) and what i like here more is set up, even more simple but decent, approach is more honest and model is working, you pay 20 dinars for lunch (oh, yes, they serve only for lunch...WHY???) and you got very good choice of homemade local food to choose from....veal tongue... The set lunch is excellent, authentic, and filling. The cost is $15 to $20. I ate up and down the price points in Tunis and Tunisia, and Dar Slah was among the best, if not the best. I returned here for a final lunch before leaving Tunisia. The location is on a main artery of the Medina and worth seeking... More
