Well, this was quite a surprise and a godsend! After finding only closed restaurants in the souks and medina or bland fastfood stalls we stumbled upon this grotty but wonderful spot. Full of off duty police, families, taxi drivers it's a popular little place, cheap paper table clothes, plastic chairs and half working whirring electric fans add to the atmosphere.... More

I was admittedly a little hesitant to try a restaurant that had one review on here, and was recommended by Lonely Planet in 2011. But it was still there, and the food was pretty good. I also had a decent chicken couscous for only 3.8 dinar. The portion was huge and it was located just outside the old city gate.... More

This restaurant was right down the street from where we were staying, so we thought we'd sample something from the menu. We ended up having dinner here twice, it was so tasty and such good value.
