We couldn't manage to make a reservation even though a very kind and smart lady found a nice table for us. The location is really nice it worth the effort itself as outside was 41C°(and we walked from quite far away). The staff is super smooth and the service within European standards. The menu is not so crowded (exactly the... More

This was by far the best place we ate at in Tunis. The restaurant itself is called Dar El Jeld (House of Leather) and it was the main trading post/location for Leather and animal hide... It is a beautiful old building in the middle of the Old town... accessing it one has to walk a bit thru the old tiny walkways... More

Great traditional food. Also original. Great flavors. Discreet service. Prices not cheap but worth it. Wine selection is a good mix.

I went to Dar el Jeld several times and each time I enjoy my diner there. The food is authentic Fine Tunisian food. Portions are big and already after the appetizers we were full and couldn't finish our mains. We however insisted on having a dessert to finish this beautiful diner. The Acida of Boufreoua ( hazelnuts) is to die... More

This is an absolute must, when visiting Tunis. Right in the heart of the Medina hidden behind a yellow door, you'll find a place which is most extraordinary. There are no words for this sensational place, it's like being in a movie. btw. the food is great too.

We had No reservation, but they helped us and had wonderful lunch. The only thing was everything was French, they have no English menu. They translated for us and thanks for this lovely food. Tuba from Turkey

The restaurant is almost a museum, situated in an old building...upper class family home. Beautiful dining quarters whether you are sitting in the main dining room or in the balconies overlooking it. Live music- solo player with a cord instrument...very pleasant and relaxing. The food and service are unfortunately not at par with the atmosphere...ended leaving a good portion of... More
