This restaurent was by far the one of the best discoveries I had in Tunis. I liked everything about the place so I visited it twice during a 5 day stay. The setting is beautiful and attention to details is evidenced, service is meticulous, live music is nice and soft. Last but not least, food is just marvelous. The best... More

Remains the one of the rare jokers in Tunis, menu doesn't change but quality neither. Good place to make foreign visitors enjoy the old Medina in a delicious way!

This was our last dinner at Tunis for our three week trip here. It took some effort to get a table for five, and we walked to the place from hotel Belvedere. The stroll was fairly pleasant and once arrived, we had to knock on the door to get in. We had ordered appetizers, wines, entrees, deserts and tea. The... More

This restaurant is highly recommended by the owner of my hotel and just about anyone who visits a Tunis-including writers for the New York Times. It's that good. Walking in alone makes you feel so special. We were greeted with flowers and escorted to the table. Our servers, Mohammed and Katvi (sp) were phenomenal and I wish they trained any... More

Dar El Jeld is a classic must eat restaurant. This is an old traditional house converted to a magnificently rich restaurant. The surroundings are nothing less than stunning. Beautiful place. The food is excellent. Presentation and taste are at their best. The strings music player added a really nice atmosphere to the total experience. This is not a cheap place... More

Only few steps from the Medina there is this ancient palace converted to a restaurant. It's an elegant place where to spend time for an unforgettable dinner with your friends. The palace itself is rich of decorations and of ancient awesomeness. Don't loose the opportunity to visit it. Elegance, careful service, suffused lighting, soft music plaied into the large atrium...
