Dar El Jeld should be a must stop for every tourist as it combines traditional architecture with traditional food with good service. Entering Dar el Jeld I had to spend a few minutes touring around and discovering the house, the traditional architecture as well as traditional furniture and decoration. It was a sublime few minutes traveling a hundred years ago.... More

We knocked on the big yellow door, and were warmly greeted by a young man presenting jasmine flowers. I wish all restaurant entrances were like this. We hadn't booked but they found us a table on the first floor overlooking the old courtyard. The building was beautiful and well maintained. The service was impeccable and only bettered by the food.... More

little tough to find until we realized a lot of the nicer restaurants the door is closed and you knock. Impressive house with attractive staff. Great service and food. It was a comfortable and romantic meal and I have a feeling we would have given it 5 stars if we could go back.

An upper class restaurant with great, authentic food in a superb atmosphere. Historical ambiance and a cusine which is authentic Tunisian with a refined touch.

In general the food and drinks are overpriced here but its a place to visit. Open roof and the charm of the old building make it a nice place to visit. The food was however just ok They did have wine/alcohol on offer Service ws friendly but i guess we just had a bit higher expectations. El Ali a bit... More

An amazing and unforgettable experience, with a warm welcome and attentive service. The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly. This has to be one of the best meals I've ever eaten and the setting is just stunning - beautiful to the point of it seeming a bit surreal. Absolutely wonderful, I feel blessed to have been lucky... An interesting historic setting in the medina. We enjoyed a mixed meze starter which was varied and very tasty. I chose the un-filleted loupe fish which was an error - very tasty but far too many bones to negotiate

If you would like to try the local cuisine in a charming atmosphere, this place is for you. The food was excellent; even for a local, it is like home made food. The waiters are amazingly helpful, and the sommelier gave as a professional recommendation for the wine! The dessert "Mahkouka" is my favorite! The life Andalusian music played on... More

The staff is very friendly, the atmosphere is incredible, food is extremely delicious especially their breads. They bake their breads and serve them warm and fresh. I had a wonderful time there, it felt like having meal at a museum. Highly recommended!

We got a reservation for two at 8:00 pm in this lovely place in the heart of the medina that is adjacent to a lot of government buildings. The place looks like a renovated old house in the kasbah district, elegant and very charming. We ordered three main dishes and a bottle of local wine two mint tea and two... More
