There are actually two restaurants, one in the Oysterbay shopping centre and one just around the corner next to the French school. Both are run by the same owners and are really good. Another rare thing is that the service is exceptionally fast, so they can be visited for a quick lunch as well.

Relaxed setting inside and out. Attentive service. The food is very tasty. The noodles dishes have to many vegitables but tasty. Very reasonable prices and good portion. Must go if you enjoy Thai food. Childrens playground also available

Super quick service (food in less than 10 minutes) and tasty meals! They don't deliver but you can phone in for a quick pick up!

Sala Thai has consistently tasty food and the service is fast and friendly: an unheard of combo in Dar. The owner and staff are awesome and they will make any dish as mild or spicy as you wish; just ask.

Ok for quick light lunch if you don't want yo have heavy meal you are at the right address, since they serve half portions lean on fillings. Every time a disappointment.

This is small cozy restaurant tucked inside the oysterbay shopping centre. Fantastic food, quick, efficient service. We had Tomyom Soup & a stir fried chicken dish with rice. Anything you choose from the menu comes with rice or noodles plus a soft drink. 1 price for all items 9000/- ( approx $6). Open mondays-saturdays until 8pm. Quiter in the evenings... More

Sala Thai is tucked away in a corner of the Oyster Bay shopping centre just opposite Coco Beach. Its a great place for a fast lunch, tasty Thai food and good value- first world urban prices apply here rather than rip off expat prices. The service is prompt and efficient and the food is pretty good. I recommend the hot... More

I really like the lady who owns the place. They use all fresh ingredients and the food is OK. If you are a fan of Thai food as I am, then you will likely be disappointed. The food is rather bland. Perhaps they are afraid that Tanzanians wouldn't be able to handle the spice level of real Thai food. The... More

This place is for speed business lunches (wouldn't thought you would see those words in a reveiw for a a restaurant in Tanzania). Food comes in 4 minutes and is very nice and very cheap ($5 for the meal and a drink). Unfortunate however that the noodles are spagetti. Beautiful outdoor cafe in the shade and the Thai mama who... The food is very cheap and most people who'd been there seem to like it. The food was not to bad and take outs are super fast.
