Osaka has been a firm favorite for a while now. I am a huge fan of salmon sashimi, and try it as a first dish at any restaurant that serves it. Osaka has never disappointed (though others have). Their salmon is always mouthful after mouthful of buttery, heavenly, chilled deliciousness that hits the spot. When I want good sashimi in... More

Had gone with family for weekend late dinner at Osaka. Friendly staff got us seated. The atmosphere of Osaka is nice and clean. Just after we thought the menu was good and we got into chatting then came Chef Jack. He humbly greeted us and to be frank, we were definitely not prepared for him or what was to come.... More

I have sushi often and I must say this was some of the best sushi I had in Months (if Not longer) they fuse local foods perfectly with traditional Japanese. It was such a great atmosphere we ended up leaving as they were closing. Anyone in Dar should make a trip there.

I've never been to Teppanyaki any where else, but we've been to the new location three times now with our 3 year old daughter and family friends and we've had a fun night with great food each time. We had Jackie the chef (who happens to be Thai). Our daughter loves him and role plays "jackie" for weeks afterwards. This... More

We had an excellent mixed sushi/sashimi set and a decent bottle of wine. The decor was great and the service good. The pries aren't cheap, as others have said, but then the restaurant's in the heart of Oyster Bay, the priciest real estate in Tanzania! I'd go again for a special sushi meal. Can't comment on the tepanyaki.

Amazing Teppanayaki show that the children (and adults) liked a lot. The food was good. We were 6 people with 6 different portions, 3 beers, and water, the bill was 250,000 tsh = 150 USD / 110 EUR. This makes around 20 EUR / 25 USD per peson - pricey. There is a 5 % surcharge when paid with Visa.... More

The sushi was delicious, and their tuna roll with philadelphia was divine. More expensive and not as cozy scene than ashibe, but go here for the fun teppanyaki chefs!

The Food is fantastic, especially the beef. The chefs do a good performance during the tepanyaki sessions which somehow jusifies the high prices. We were six people and ordered four dishes plus sushi. No problems with the owner as others have reported here...Maybe he was not around :-) Lucky us...

Poor customer service. Good food. The worst ambiance. Owner has no customer focus at all. Its always a huge argument. Food is good. Prices are steep compared to quality of service and ambiance.

The food is great, especially the tepanyaki. However, I was extremely disappointed by the service standards shown by the owner who is an old Japanese man who doesnt speak english very well. We had a reservation for a group of 6 at the tepanyaki table but we decided to order both sushi and tepanyaki. The owner insisted that we should... More
