Went for lunch having been recommended by our hotel. Restaurant Hamadi is located on the outskirts of the medina. Restaurant Hamadi is very much a typical moroccan restaurant with moorish architecture, hanging moroccan carpets on the walls, low seating with cushions etc. We chose moroccan salad to start Dh55 followed by chicken with lemon tajine Dh80 and lamb with apricots... Just about the time that an entirely different experience turns up on life's ever changing menu, one gets an opportunity to have lunch in Tangier. Our opportunity arose at the Hamadi Restaurant in the port district of Tangier, Morocco. Apparently they were used to serving funny looking strangers descending from the cruise ships at this touristy restaurant, so our presence... More

We were here with a tour group for the day and this place was very touristy but we were tourists so fair is fair. They gave us the Tangier experience with a four piece Moroccan band playing as we enjoyed a tasty soup followed by kebabs, couscous, and an very flavorful honey pastry for dessert. We paid extra for our... More

We ate here two nights ago after being told that many restaurants were closed on a Sunday evening in Tangier. The interior was quite pleasant and the musicians were very good. We ordered chicken skewers which were tasty but everything else was a real let down. No flat breads (in a "traditional" Moroccan restaurant), instead stale baguette, a chicken and... More

Typical tourist restaurant but fine for a quick tajine . Uninspiring but adequate . Tajine actually quite good for a "vat made" one. Service fine , ambience made by hardworking and friendly musicians .

We enjoyed lunch here during a day trip to Tangier. Friendly, lively, and bustling, this was a fun place to enjoy local cuisine in great surroundings. The place is definitely touristy, but that does not detract from the experience. We enjoyed a flavorful soup, tasty kebabs, a flavorful chicken couscous, and an interesting honey pastry for dessert. The food was... More

Had a 'traditional' Moroccan lunch here as part of an organised day trip to tangiers from Spain. This place is clearly geared up for large groups who descend on it in their masses. We had approximately 40 mins to eat before we were herded out so next group could sit down. Staff were friendly and the live Moroccan music was... More

Perhaps rightfully considered a tourist trap by many, but one that offers value for money. The food is pretty good and authentic, and the musical ensemble a welcome addition. A must whilst in tangiers

We were recommended to have dinner at Hammadi for my husbands Birthday whilst we were visiting Tangier. Whilst the place may be a tourist trap my family of 4 loved it. We were not sure what to order so we had the staff being us an array of dishes. We had all the Shish kabobs (chicken, meat and minced beef,... More

Our tour group went here as part of our day excursion to Morocco's Tangier location. The menu was nothing memorable at all. The soup was probably the most interesting dish, it had a slight mint-like note and was the trational pureed-base soup common to much of Europe. It had little stringy things in it but we could not decide what... More
