We were in Rabat for vacations. Big disappointment concerning this restaurant, highly over-rated in our opinion. Food was decent but really overpriced and nearly cold. Waiters were not so nice though efficient. The setting is quite disappointing too on the first floor. However, a previous experience in this restaurant during Ramadan with an iftar buffet had proved far more pleasant.... More

Nice varied menu - French food with some Moroccan influences. Service was polite and fast. A very nice treat after endless shawarma and pizza places!

This reviewer is not too appreciative when it comes to fusion food. Particularly over French cuisine, which should definitively stay French. Waiters seemed to have better things to do instead of waiting our table. The meal took for ever to be served and had ample time to cool down before reaching our table. The experience was embarrassing and will not... More

Think of a French bistro with good food, good drinks, eloquent waiters, interesting clients and some art and this is it in Rabat. Centrally located its good for lunch and dinner. I never had a bad meal yet.

This was a very good place in which to have a special meal; however we were glad that there was no live amplified music while we were there, as that destroys any chance of a decent conversation. The food - France-meets-Morocco - was very good, with excellent service. However, I would not choose to eat here if there was amplified... More

Ambience and food excellent. One of the best places in Rabat, if not Morocco. I feel it is very strange to impose a limit of 100 words.

Le Grand Comptoir serves delicious French-themed food and is a nice place to have cocktails. There is also a small bar/cocktail room upstairs that can be reserved for private events.

We have had dinner at this establishment and each time has been different (quality, service, experience). Generally recommended and nice atmosphere although impossible to hold a conversation during the "live music" sessions. Had some good meals and some regular ones, mainly complaining about the freshness of the fish. Not recommended during the Holy month, we were very badly served. Quite... More

I have recently been in Rabat and was advised to go to this restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere fantastic. Also very nice selection of wines. Strongly recommend.
