We were brought here by our guide. We gave him a list of restaurants in Meknes and asked him to bring us to one of them. He said he did not recognize any restaurant on our list and recommended Salma restaurant. Even though I knew he was lying we agreed to go to Salma, We did not want to order... More

It was hot and we were tired but not hungry. We were by Moulay Ismael mousoleum. We just wanted a place were to have something small to eat and to rest a little. The parking attendant suggested this place( Salma). Salma in Arabic means safe. This place was not safe for me and my friends. The owner over charged us.... More

It's in walking distance from bab mansour gate. It's nice restaurant (even fancy), offering various foods in the menu. It has WIFI, but sometimes, in some places the connection was a little bit slow. It has terrace where you can enjoy your lunch with the view of Medina. The food was OK, but a little bit pricey. Most of customers... More

We sat on the terrace with a nice view of the horse drawn carriages and their passengers. One of the dishes I had on my wish list was Pigeon Pastilla. This restaurant made a delicious dish for me. The meat and sauce was covered in a pastry wrap. The multiple side dishes went on and on all colorful and scrumptious.

Yes, it can be a bit touristy, but the food was quite good and the service excellent. Weather permitting, sit on the roof terrace and enjoy the view and cool breezes

Ok, threshold item, we were tourists visiting lovely Morocco. Salma is very conveniently located in Meknes, but it is totally touristy. Food is nicely prepared and nicely presented, but nothing really distinctive about it. Owner is friendly and affable. Makes for an okay lunch stop, but there is no real reason to go out of your way to dine here.

If you would like wine with quite good Moroccan food try Restaurant Salma. The rooftop has a nice nice view and should you wish some wine there is a section where you can drink and eat. Well worth it.

During our tour, we went for lunch here and got out of the pouring rain. Sampled our first Moroccan mint tea here and it was quite good. Some of us enjoyed the Soupe Marocaine whilst the house specialty is the Chicken/Pigeon Pastilla which is sweet and savoury pie with cinnamon and toasted almonds (I think). Nearly everyone had the chicken... More
