Our group stopped there during our tour of the Medina in Meknes. This was by far the best meal we had while in Morocco. Several plates of meat, fish and vegetable, all well presented and very tasty. And as a bonus they serve beer and wine, which is unusual in Morocco. I don't know how it would be for individual... More

There aren't a huge amount of places that we wanted to eat in in Meknes, so we ended up eating at Collier de la Colombe twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. We were the only people in the restaurant for dinner, which was a shame. Good food and good service, would recommend if you're in Meknes.

The restaurant is easy to find, less than a hundred yards down a main alley in the medina, relatively close to the historic prison. A table on the top floor terrace is spectacular on a fine day. There is also a less impressive but perfectly pleasant outside terrace on the second floor. The third floor has been converted to four... More

We had a very nice meal here in the afternoon. My trout was excellent and the lamb almond dish was also very good. The restaurant is easy to find and a walkable distance from the old medina. I would also recommend this place for the terrace. It would be a nice place to grab a beer after a long day... More

We were directed by our Riad owner to try the Collier de la Colombe and we were very greatly that she directed us to this restaurant. It was rather easy to find once we asked for directions and we came upon this beautiful almost empty restaurant with a terrace over looking the Medina. We were initially concerned that we were... Although this restaurant was recommended by guide books and the owner of our riad, our experience was not good. We started with the usual array of Moroccan salads, which were fine, but the main courses were almost inedible. My chicken brochettes were dry and boring, served with desiccated fries, while my husband's Atlas trout fillet was overcooked and the accompanying... More

Very little alcohol is served in the medina so if you want wine with dinner, Collier de la Colombe, a short distance from Place Lalla Aouda, is a good choice. Located on a quiet street just outside the medina walls the terrace dining room has views of the Nouvelle City just across the river. The pink and white brothel like... More

Great french/moroccan restaurant. really classy, clean, western style restaurant outside the medina. It serves alcohol, but also EXCELLENT food! The harissa soup comes in a big pot which can serve 4. Best harissa soup in Morocco that I tasted, and it came with chickpeas, YUM! I ordered the lemon preserved chicken tajine, really well cooked. The chicken was browned well... More

A good place when you want to have wine with your dinner - other places don't serve alcohol. Prices are comparable with most other places, but portions are slightly smaller.
