This is definitely the place to visit if you go for the first time to Marrakech. The riad within the restaurant is located is just breathtaking and the food is extremely generous and tasty.

I really enjoyed Dar Yacout - all in a wonderful evening. Excellent venue/ambiance, delicious food (lots of it!). Also appreciated that they placed us next to the fireplace as the riad was otherwise pretty freezing.. The venue is quite hard to find, being at the back end of a long dark alley (and the tripadvisor location service didn't help). We... More

This is a hidden restaurant which cannot be recognized as a restaurant from outside. You have to knock at the black entrance door and to wait some minutes and the door will be opened from the staff and you will be guided into the dream of 1001 night. You can enjoy one of the best dars of Marocco. It looks... More

We came here at a advice of our hotel when we wanted something nice and weren't disappointed. The room and the service was up and while the prices were a steep for Morocco's currency conversion, it was still class. The food was slightly above average, and we enjoyed it, but if your expecting 5 star food to match the room... More

You can't help but be impressed with this beautiful setting. It is quite magical, but alas it disappoints on the food. It's a fixed price set menu which we didn't realise and is probably good for tour groups or people who are not terribly adventurous or want any culinary delights. It felt very 'touristy' but I guess it's worth it... More

We visited this beautiful restaurant for my daughters third birthday. Not only is the food delicious, but the riad is one of the most beautiful in Marrakesh. The service was so kind that they offered a special cake for my daughters birthday. I would highly recommend!

Dar Yacout has a fabulous ambience, enhanced by live Morroccan music throughout. It is perhaps a little formulaic and touristy, but overall the experience is good. Beware if you are vegetarian. You are served a set menu which in the main is pretty meat based. Also, the portions are huge! The quality is pretty good though. Bearing in mind that... More

This is a terrible restaurant. It is a typical "tourist trap" that mass-produces a fixed menu of below-average Morroccan food for double the price you will pay in the very best "a la carte" Mortoccan restaurants in the Medina. Unless all you care about is a pretty set of rooms and a "show" of fake authenticity, save your money and... More

Fantastic experience at Dar Yacout. The most amazing part is that you can barely find the door outside, but once you walk inside, it opens up to this incredible, huge, high ceiling'ed wonderland. Additionally, the food was incredible, and HUGE, and the wine continued to be poured all night, which I had not expected. A must-do in Marrakesh. Also, make... More

It is located on a tiny street/alley in the Medina. If you are adventurous, use google gps to walk there from Jemaa el-Fnaa. Otherwise, take a cab. The restaurant is amazing inside, like an Arabian fantasy. Delicious traditional Moroccan cuisine, great service, fantastic ambiance. Not cheap, but a resto this amazing in Paris, London or NYC would be much more... More
