Great - once you can find it

As with many parts of Marrakech, you think you are in a dead end alley when suddenly you find a door behind which is a great surprise. There are no signs as fare as we could see and we thought we were in the right place, but couldn't see where to go - then an old guy sitting outside showed... read more

We were staying in a riad almost next door and wanted an easy meal after a hectic day in the souk. Went to Dar Yacout and got the exact opposite.. A fantastic meal in beautiful surroundings, great staff (they walked us home in the dark), nice ambient live music. All for a set price of 700 per person - which... More

Our hotel booked us this restaurant for dinner on our second night in Marrakech and we were not disappointed! We were told by a guide on our first day that people didn't show their wealth from the outside of their homes but did on the inside and nothing could be more true! I can't even describe or show pictures to... More

Its one of these set menue places where you have to order a menue bound to drive you into a food coma, ok place if this is what you are after but there are many nicer places to go for Moroccan food we prefer Dar Zeijl

We visited Dar Yacout with 3 other couples. The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. Since it was a cold night they had fires going in every room. The tagine was similar to dishes we had eaten in other restaurants but tastier and beautifully served. The music was lovely yet it did not over power our conversation. I'm glad we found... More

Before i pre booked i read some reviews which were varied and so it made me a little unsure if i had made a good choice. First time in Marrakech with partner so wanted something special! I had no need to worry, Its a fantastic place. Beautifully traditional interior with live music and candle lit. Courtyard, terraces and many different... More

Arrived to be taken for an aperitif in a sumptuous upstairs lounge, with live berber music in the background. Then to lovely dining room (with more live music) for a selection of 11 (yes, 11) starters, then a whole chicken (between two of us), a big lamb tagine with couscous, dessert, coffee and pastries. All washed down with a constant... More

This is definitely the place to visit if you go for the first time to Marrakech. The riad within the restaurant is located is just breathtaking and the food is extremely generous and tasty.

I really enjoyed Dar Yacout - all in a wonderful evening. Excellent venue/ambiance, delicious food (lots of it!). Also appreciated that they placed us next to the fireplace as the riad was otherwise pretty freezing.. The venue is quite hard to find, being at the back end of a long dark alley (and the tripadvisor location service didn't help). We... More

This is a hidden restaurant which cannot be recognized as a restaurant from outside. You have to knock at the black entrance door and to wait some minutes and the door will be opened from the staff and you will be guided into the dream of 1001 night. You can enjoy one of the best dars of Marocco. It looks... More
