We booked for new year's eve and had quite an adventure. First it's very hard to find, so take a taxi as going on foot is a hit and miss affair. When we arrived they had "lost" our booking and basically accused us of lying about having made a reservation! Fortunately another couple turned up at the same time and... more

It would be a real shame to visit Marrackech and not visit Yacout. I don't know of a more visually stunning restaurant anywhere in the world, and it's well worth a visit just to experience the ambience of the place. It is practically a small palace. The conversion was designed by the late architect Bill Willis, who during his career... more

We had a wonderful evening here. Amazing ambiance, amazing food!!! The most romantic place, with live music, and more food than you could ever eat. A must-do when in Marrakech!! more

My husband and I went last Sunday and we had a wonderful evening at Dar Yacout. First we were given a tour of the roof terrace which was lovely and romantic. Then we had a drink in the first foor lounge where two musicians were playing. The rooms are all amazing and this is probably the most beautiful house i... more

We approached Dar Yacout with some concern after reading the mixed reviews. We decided it was worth a try for the ambiance alone even if the food proved mediocre. When we arrived we were led upstairs first for the view, then for an aperitif which I was sure was a way to build up the bill. Have no fear; there... more

Absolutely amazing ambience and very romantic. Beautifully done up. Let down by the food, however - far too many courses and nor the best Marroccan cuisine you can find in Marrakech. You do wonder when all the course after course will end ... more

If you are in Marrakech, it is worth a visit. 175.00 US for Two. Worth the money. You had a excellent service. Food was great. You had any amount of wine to drink. It was a lot of food. We were told that the culture of morocco is that you don't bring food in small portion. You are not expected... more

Several years ago, Restaurant Magazine published a list of the "50 Best Restaurants in the World". I've been to well over a dozen on the list, and none come close to comparison to Yacout. It was by far the most magical dining experience I've ever had. And at only $80 per person (including wine) it's an oustanding value that --... more

Went to Dar Yacout on recommendation - didn't book - given a guided tour and then a drink by the fireplace. Beautiful setting - very romantic. Were shown to our table and the food started arriving. we ( two girlfriends) were served enough food for 4 easily. First course about 10 dishes of starters, a whole chicken, a huge lamb... more
