A lovely afternoon

Ingrid at the Riad Berbere suggested we visit Beldi and she was right. The gardens filled with roses were a delight to walk through to the open air restaurant next to the swimming pool. Close to the airport the Beldi Country Club (the part of the Hotel By Beldi for use by non-residents) was recommended by our Riad owner. It has the feel of 'shabby chic', slightly run down, not quite firing on all cylinders. We visited during Ramadan, low season, and the place was empty bar a few hardy travellers like we, seeking... I love those types of places, with families and group of friends drinking Rose under the shades and eating grilled Sardines and fresh fish. It's a little of Provence a St Tropez afternoon atmosphere... the place we like to be with our friends and family...

I visited the Beldi Country Club once before in February 2013 and loved both my visits - especially as its such a haven after the intensity of Marrakech. They charge about 390DH for lunch and the use of the pool so it is relatively expensive for Morocco but IMHO it is well worth it. The lunch was great in a... More

We went to Beldi twice in 4 days. That says it all. Nevertheless, quiet and serene atmosphere and to die for food with impeccable service.

Had a great day here. The pool is beautiful, with more than enough well-shaded loungers, a rarity in this country! The service was SLOW but the food was good and the prices reasonable. Some nice local wines on offer. Not that easy to find if you drive out yourself so a taxi might be a better option.

We went there on my birthday and wanted to get a nice pampering experience, which is why we went out of the way ( 15 min drive away from the medina) to go there. Started with the spa, scrub + 30min massage. This was about 50€ which is a lot for Marrakech so I had high expectations. They didn't tell... More

Spent today at the country club, as recommended by our Riad owner. Was very quiet today, despite the glorious weather but a lovely day. Facilities all good and the garden a lovely setting. We paid 400dh for entry for the day including lunch and all soft drinks. For lunch we opted for salad and ice cream, but we're lovely. Would... More

After going up a dusty track, you arrive and on first impressions it doesn't look that impressive. However, after wandering up the many paths, you find an oasis of calm and a beautiful resort. The restaurant is mostly outdoor and even in early January, it was very warm and they give out straw hats when you're in the sun. Three... More

This beautiful garden, hotel, restaurant and place to relax on the weekend for residents of Marrakech is so tastefully decorated, quiet and serene that it transports you to another place. As the name implies, "Beldi", meaning Berber countryside, it is almost akin to a museum and showcase of rustic Berber artisan production. Do not miss this either for a day... More
