Our favourite cafe in Marrakech!

We read that it was best to go to a proper henna cafe rather than getting it done by some random stall in the main Medina. After finding the very hidden but grand door to the cafe, we made our way to the terrace and were greeted with such a warm welcome. The staff made us feel very comfortable... read more

We went here for lunch and were very impressed. The staff were really kind and welcoming and the food was great value and delicious. It's a fantastic cause too. We're in Marrakech for a few days so we'll definitely be back.

I came here specifically to get a henna tattoo, as I didn't trust the henna ladies in the square and I had read about this place online. This is a small cafe, perhaps smaller than I'd imagined, with simple but tasty food and English tea (very welcome as I was getting fed up with endless mint tea!) When I visited,... More

Friendly little upstairs cafe with a slightly hippyish vibe. Well priced food if you're popping in for lunch or a snack, not spectacularly flavoursome but a good stopping off point to re-fuel and escape the streets. Customers can also have a henna tattoo if you like that kind of thing. Service slightly eccentric as we waited nearly an hour for... More

Went here with some friends for a late lunch after walking around the Medina. The food was inexpensive and delicious, service was quick and easy and the people that worked there were incredibly friendly and helpful in giving suggestions for what to do around the city. It is also a women's cooperative for the ladies that do beautiful henna. Be... More

We loved this small cafe in the Medina and went a few times to sit on their terrace in the sun. Nothing fancy about this place, but the people who run it are friendly and welcoming. There are English classes here at certain times of the day too, which is nice for the locals. 10 out of 10!

This is a great place to go for lunch. They have a limited menu, but it's all excellent and not at all expensive. The portions are quite large so if you just want a snack don't order too much. The hummus is particularly good as are the felafel.

This lovely little orange coloured cafe is on Bab Doukkala and has two seating areas, one with a terrace and one inside. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is I expensive and tasty, 40D for a large salad or meatballs. All the starters come with bread and olives and are 20D. They do henna tattoos too... More

Like most places in Marrakech, its the unassuming frontiers which lead you to walk past the place if it didn't have such high recommendations and reviews. Its not particularly in the tourist area, but upstairs there is a friendly and efficient team who run what I think is a charitable business with a range of simple and tasty foods, much... More

After a substantial breakfast, the soup, sandwiches, delicious orange and cinnamon dessert and, of course, mint tea, was just what we needed. Welcoming people, freshly prepared food and some laid back tortoises fitted the bill.
