This restaurant/ bar is a true find. Located just meters off Djema el Fna square it has an ambience and elegance not previously found on the square. Having just opened in December 2011 the service is superb and vibrant. Le Salama is spread over 3 levels allowing to cater for over 200 guests and is crowned with a panoramic terrace overlooking the Atlas mountains and a 360 degree view of the medina. The menu offers modern Moroccan cuisine including delights such as Monkfish Tagine or Lamb Shank with caramelized tomatoes and poached pear. Mouthwatering! This is the perfect place for a tea break, sipping a cocktail or a good local Moroccan wine or even having a meal after shopping in the souk.

Great place to relax after a day of walking

This restaurant looks quite fancy from the inside. The staircase is lit with candles and the interior is chique and has an upperclass look and feel. I would recommend going to the roof terrace to watch the sunset; very nice! The good thing about this building is that it has one additional level so... read more

On the roof terrace you can get beers and also some really nice cocktails. During happy hour its buy one get one free, which seems to last all evening. Well worth a visit as its just off the square and one of very few places that sell alcohol. We didn't eat but food did look nice if not a little... More

By le Salama they say that they have happy hour; buy 1 drink get the next for free, but for that first drink you pay more than the double. And the food is very expensive!! Cheaters!!

We ended up in the place for drinks and shisha (hookah) as it was the closest restaurant to our riad. Was surprised with the interiors, elegant & rich, the first two floors were empty but the terrace was packed with people, a Dj was playing old hits, really a great atmosphere to relax at.The beers were priced at 40 dirhams... We loved this place. It is just off the square but worlds apart from the chaos just around the corner! The decor is seriously cool - head to the terrace, having a cold beer with some chilled music playing, makes this a must go to just recharge! Drinks are pricey but they do a 2for1 pretty much all day and... More

Magnificent multi-storied restaurant. Very elegant, clean crisp white table clothes. Very welcoming and friendly. We were repeat visitors - afternoon drinks and evening tapas. In the evening there was a DJ playing 80s relaxing music. Very busy in the evening.

Cool terrace bar that serves alcohol and food. On the top terrace you can watch the sunset and enjoy cocktails whilst listening to jazz/easy listening music. On the second floor enjoy nice food. On some reviews others have said it is a bit pricey but we think it is average to UK prices for nice food and good service.

The food is quite pricey for Morocco standards, but the portions are huge. So if you are not super hungry, you should share one meal and you won't leave hungry. The vegetable soup was perfect! The staff is really friendly and speaks well English. The drinks are okay price-wise. I really enjoyed the Mojito. It was just right and had... More

Where do I begin. I wanted my girlfriend and I to go to one of the nicer restaurants in Marrakech as it was our last night. We were torn between a few of the Big Names of Marrakech.. we went for Le Salama. On entry to the roof terrace it sets a great first impression, all staff were well presented... More
