On the street, on the money, fresh seafood restaurant

Found this place by accident, but had to stop for lunch. It seemed everyone else in Marrakech had the same idea. It was a lovely warm day for al fresco dining so we joined the end of a table and ordered grilled prawns and calamari. Both were delicious and fresh, served with far too much bread... read more

The food is amazingly priced for the quality. This is far from a romantic restaurant - its basic but if you love fish and shellfish, you should definitely go. There are a lot of locals who go here and we passed it 2 day & nights before going and it was always busy. 4 of us went here for dinner... More

Our Driver from Hotel recommended this place & took us there personally to eat & savour, what he termed local delicacies, served by Moroccan people for the local, but loved by tourists. What seemed very ordinary surrounding & incredibly busy, bustling near Street would lead you to believe it maybe very ordinary. But the cuisine served up what extraordinary. Very... More

We had a nice meal here, not amazing, but good value for money. Plenty of locals also eating at the same time and most seemed to order the mixed deep fried fish platter, which was tasty. However on leaving the waiter collared us and told us to go back and leave a tip. This was not something any of the... More

Perfect if you like your seafood. This no-frills restaurant serves great food at unbelievably low prices. It’s on the corner of the parade of fish restaurants. It’s frequented by locals, which is always a good sign. The only downside is that the food gets cold quite quickly - It was in this restaurant I realised that I'm either a slow... More

My partner and I came here based on the good reviews. When we arrived, it was packed with locals which I felt was a good sign. We ordered a mixed platter of fish each which came with prawns, squid, sole and a firm white fish. It was fresh, delicious and excellent value at 100DH for both of us. My only... More

I ate here with my family and we enjoyed a big serving excellent mix of hake, sole, calamari and prawns. As fresh a you like, with rice, harissa, prawns, bread and a small bowl of fish soup. With drinks we paid less than £4 each (honestly)! People just across the road eating a Big Mac for about the same price,... More

Went here after hearing about it on trip advisor, and to be honest wasn't disappointed at all totally lived up to expectations. Al bahriyah is not far from Zara in gueliz like much of the reviews mentioned prices are more than reasonable too along with a great selection of seafood, definitely recommend the seafood platter that they do. It seems... More

If you crave seafood (even though Marrakesh is not on the coast) and don't mind a basic ambiance, Al Bahriya will fit the bill. A basis cafe style restaurants with plastic chairs. There is a large range of fresh fish every night from which to choose. It is cooked simply but well and at extraordinarily low prices. It is definitely... More
