Went here after hearing about it on trip advisor, and to be honest wasn't disappointed at all totally lived up to expectations. Al bahriyah is not far from Zara in gueliz like much of the reviews mentioned prices are more than reasonable too along with a great selection of seafood, definitely recommend the seafood platter that they do. It seems... More

If you crave seafood (even though Marrakesh is not on the coast) and don't mind a basic ambiance, Al Bahriya will fit the bill. A basis cafe style restaurants with plastic chairs. There is a large range of fresh fish every night from which to choose. It is cooked simply but well and at extraordinarily low prices. It is definitely... More

Don't leave Marrakech without trying this restaurant. This cafe style restaurant is in Avenue Mouley Rachid. It is walking distance from Zara & Telecom. It is in the corner of 2 roads. Petit taxi from Jemma el fina will cost 20 dirhams. You have to be there by 12noon for a lunch. By 1pm the restaurant is full and you... More

No menu, you choose from a selection of fresh fish at the counter, they weigh it, give a price and cook it. Very good value, served with dish of olives and morrocan bread. Well worth a visit if you like fish

After reading a lot of the reviews, we decided to try this place on day one, as our hotel was next door. We tried 2 portions of their Al Bahriya Platter along with fries. This was more than ample for our family of five, considering they also provided accompaniments. The platter had a good variety of fish. The prawns were... More

After a few days of eating at the Square, we though we'd try some where else. This was next the Almas Hotel where we stayed and my word! The seafood was great, inexpensive and in generous portions. Although there was no english menu, the staff was helpful and there are pictures on the menu. Or you can just point to... More

We went to Al Bahriya after seeing it in the Rough Guide. they actually have two separate restaurants next to each other, one being the main one with lots of tables and a huge selection of fish on display and the other a bit tucked away two doors to the right. They specialize in seafood but also have great pizzas... More

If you love seafood this is a must in Marrakech. A better price and quality seafood than even coastal towns (bar essauoira- although prices higher). Been a few times over different years in Marrakech. Worth seeking out. Always cooked safely to perfection. Simple cafe surroundings. Each dish gets sauces, rice and bread. Drinks cheap. 'Special' mixture good value but if... More

The locals eat here which says it all. So so busy which is because the fish is so fresh - you can pick your own. We went two lunchtimes - you get bread, olives, rice and 3 sauces to start then we ordered the seafood platter - calamari, 3 fish, prawns etc and also had a paella 2 bottles of... More
