Description: PEPE NERO Restaurant Marrakech : A place of flavours on motion where the senses are constantly coddled Khalid and his team represent the same soul of a single ingredient: Excellence. This where I devote myself body and soul to my passion: cooking We strive to always be precise in our gestures, attentive to the oven, skilled with knives, a sharpened sense of smell, an eye to the market, intransigent with the quality of ingredients and demanding in the kitchen. The battle I fight every day with my team is the oldest in the world:That between the hand and fire.We created the sort of restaurant we would like to find ourselves..Pepe Nero was born to engage and satisfy our passion : Taste, without any constraints or formalisms, with simplicity. But not only. We believe that there has been a generational change in customers who are rather apprehensive of locations that are over formal. With this new role we want to clear away taboos and bring haute cuisine into step with the times.

Although expensive by Marrakech standards, food is completely excellent and restaurant much calmer than those near the big square.

We were recommended by our Riad owner to try this restaurant and we are so glad we did. The food, wine and service were all exceptional. A nice mix of Moroccan and Italian food in a wonderful setting. You need it give it a go, but book first as it gets busy

a dark alley leads to a wood door that opens into a jewel, with fountain, and clear blue 'pool', surrounded by tables. Clear design chairs gave an air of space - which when you looked up, you realised you were looking into space - open air. salmon and cherry tomato amuse bouche - which we enjoyed so much they brought... Pepe Nero is quite easy to find. It is signposted so easy to follow. When we arrived (our hotel called ahead) we were taken to our seats with a warm welcome. I had the pigeon pie, which was a bit dry but flavoursome. The chicken tagine was very nice and well priced. Beautiful decor. Give it a try.

This probably was the best meal we had in Marakesh, a blend of traditional and Italian cuisine, a house offers nice apperatife. My friend tried pigeon pie and rated it as one of best meals in her life. I choose from the Italian menu, which was a nice change after 3 day traditional food marathon. Prices are not low, but... Spending a few days in the absolute hustle and bustle Pepe Nero was a very welcome distraction! Great friendly staff, alcohol on sale, and great food.

Beautiful setting and wonderful service for a great dinner experience. We sat by the pool, which was picturesque, and enjoyed a delicious dinner for my birthday.

Fabulous surroundings and food. Made for a lovely night out.Only slight issue was the use of large fans with mist to cool the dining area - if you were sat near these it wasn't very relaxing!
