Don’t miss

Visiting a friend, a teacher at the American school, she recommends me Amaia as “little of Home in Marrakesh”. Absolutely! Went there more than 4 times. Modern, so clean! Like in NYC, London or Paris. Nonstop service, Bacon & eggs, pancakes for brunches, sandwiches, bio vegetables, fabulous... read more

We were looking for somewhere to eat on a sat night, found this restaurant. The food was a little disappointing, bland. We were not impressed.

Dear M. Bob I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your meal at Amaia, maybe you took the wrong dish! How a wok of prawns & calamari with red curry paste & coconut milk can be bland? How a beef Tagine with apricots and all its spices cannot be tasty? And what about an iced-cold nougat with real saffron? Our menu is... More

We were quite fortunate to stumble on this restaurant; a small unpresupposing place on a busy artery leading into the centre of Marrakech. The soupe de poissons was the best of the starters and the tagine of boeuf excelled as a main. Nice friendly staff, functional surroundings and good value. Maybe not a venue for a special meal but a... More

Dear Dodge. You are a real tripadvisor user; you share all your experiences, that is helpful for everyone, so thank you for your comment. You describe our restaurant as a cool place "from the hustle and bustle of the city" with "Good value, high quality food, friendly service”. I can read that you have appreciated your time with us. We ate in a few restaurants in Marrakesh. This was one of the best I have ever been to. The food was excellent. Other chefs would charge far more I am sure. I had a starter and a tapas to begin with these where fantastic. The main was good (can not remember what it was maybe to full). The restaurant... More

I had a nice evening and the staff are very friendly. I had the goats cheese which for me lacked a bit of flavour and was more like a cream cheese and had the fillet beef for my main with veg which was quite nice too. Desert was nice both the tiramisu and panna cote. The outside area is fine,... More

Thank you for your comment "worth a visit". We try every day to create a more cosy atmosphere, through our green terrace (plants need them!), through our musical ambiance, through our welcoming. A cool place apart of the hustle of Marrakesh. Our food: tasty as I can read in your post! Sorry for the goat cheese, you didn't expect that... More

Very small restaurant located in a busy street full of exhaust cars gas and noise. We decided consequently to eat inside and we asked for a non smoking table. They gave us a table at the end of the same room where the smokers were seated saying that we were in a non smoking area...Just ridiculous! Being late we decided... More

Dear Alister, I'm sorry that you didn't enjoy your moment at Amaia. I'm sorry for you that the restaurant is easy to find, located on one of the most central avenue of the economic part of Marrakesh...with cars & motorcycles passing by., but like in other big cities... I'm sorry for you that our resident customers are smokers and that... More

We have eaten here at least four times in the past week. The food is absolutely amazing and the staff are excellent too. Eric, the owner, is friendly, he remembers your face and recommends unbiasedly. Highly recommend this place.

Cozy environment, nice music, kind host. Food was really great. Don't expect typical Moroccan tastes here, more European. A bit pricey.

We have just spent a pleasant evening here, with great food and friendly staff. Although for the most part we were the only customers ( we got there a little after 6 pm) the place still had a descent atmosphere.

Dear Ganthrapod. We are pleased that you spent a nice time at Amaia with us during your trip in Marrakesh. Your nice comment is encouraging for all the staff. You came early at 6 pm, and it was calm and relaxing; it is because in Morocco people are having dinner around 9 pm, like in spain. Hope to see you... More
