Retreat for a drink in Medina!

We were so tired of donkeys and bargaining traders, so we were just blessed to see this big red entrance with a concierge on the left when entering the Jemaa el-Fna square – you cannot miss it! Found a bar with the pool and the view of Koutoubia Mosque. Service is 5* and prices are acceptable... read more

We spend a lot of time in Marrakech and have walked past the man in the turban many times. Finally decided to give the restaurant a try and very glad we did. We were 2 Scots who eat curries at home a lot and a Moroccan who had never eaten curry before. All of us enjoyed the food and the... More

We first ate here 5 years ago & sadly things are not the same. Firstly I emailed to book a table 10 days in advance & had no reply. Our hotel managed to book us a table on arrival in Marrakech. After having drinks downstairs in the palce ( lovely). We stepped out of the lift to be ignored by... More

Undoubtedly one of the best specially selected spice curries I can recall eating (and there has been many thousands). We casually walked into the restaurant and were "spellbound" by the setting, atmosphere, friendliness and welcome from ALL the staff. The food can only be described as spectacular. Although being caucasian I was raised in Asia, sailed on ships with Indian... More

Our expectations when sitting down to eat at Les Jardins de Bala were pretty low given that we had already been taken aback by the appalling 70's style decor and the morroccan waiters dressed as Indians. Things progressed from bad to worse when we were served with inedible popadoms and the heat became stifling as there was no air conditioning... More

So after a few days experiencing the nice but bland cooking in marrakesh we sought out this Indian restaurant. Well what can I say about this place? Its a con just like the rest of marrakesh, its only after your money. Some savvy business owner has heard many a British tourist asking for a curry and so has decided to... More

We visited this restaurant twice during out stay in Marrakech, the first evening we visited the service was great - staff friendly and welcoming - especially the gentleman! The food was OK, we had chicken spring rolls to start, I had the chicken tandoori which was fine for the first few chunks - before I found some uncooked pieces.. However... More

Maybe our expectations were low and we had been craving indian food for a while. Regardless, I would definitely recommend this for a change from the tagines and cous cous. its on top of a luxury hotel and service was fantastic.

I feel ashamed of myself to be proud of Indian food after visiting this restaurant both in respect of hospitality as well as food preparation. The attitude of a lady whose name I was told as Ms Pascal was totally horrendous. How can someone serving you in a restaurant be so rude and throw attitude at you when you have... More

We went 3 times during our stay, always lovely food. ( Can't expect real tandoory stuff, they don't have the oven but give you a special sauce ). Impressive local wines, try the Sahari gres. Good service!
