This is not your usual restaurant in Marrakesh where many are just tourist traps. Libzar is in Guéliz, just opposite of Chez Paul. Decorated with taste and elegance, this is not a kitsch Moroccan place but an ideal please for fine food lovers. Typical Moroccan cuisine, but revisited in a modern and creative way. The ingredients are high quality which... More

We discovered this gem of a restaurant on our last evening in Gueliz and wish we'd discovered it sooner. The place was empty, as other reviewers have also experienced, and for a moment we wondered if the food would not be fresh for this reason, but everything seemed perfectly fresh to us (and we are quite picky with regard to... Been there twice, and both times there was only 2 or 3 tables occupied. Don't know why, because I really loved the food. Recommended if you want a quiet place and a more gourmet morocan experience.

We ordered the starter, 10 Moroccan salads, which is very recommendable and brought us around many of the flavours of the Moroccan cuisine. The main courses were also good, we chose two different Moroccan lamb dishes which were both very tasty. The waiter was polite, concise and spoke good English. A really good Moroccan restaurant with good food, nice atmosphere... More

Libzar was a recommendation from colleagues in Morocco, and it was a good one. The restaurant has traditional Moroccan fare and the menu has limited choices. For us this was a good thing as we were new to the cuisine. We started with a selection of traditional Moroccan salads which were presented in a lovely multitude of small portions and... More

We found this restaurant by chance, close to our apartment. Very warm welcome and delicious Morrocan food. We had the Morrocan salads, actually some vegetarian tapas, very tasty and well presented. After that we had fish tajine, served with couscous and bread. Everything was well preparied with care and consideration about flavours. We did not order wine but there is... More

Wonderful food, very warm service. Lovely and intimate dining experience. I recommend the dish of 11 salads if it is available, really beautiful work and very tasty. I left stuffed!

This was the most exceptional dining experience in Marakech. We were a large group of 18 culinary travelers. When the first courses were served there was easily 8 or 9 small plates of interesting tastes of Morocco. The main course was 8 tiny one or two bite tangines that included lamb, beef, chicken, fish and vegetable morsels ......Delicious. Dessert was... More

Except for the waiter, we were alone in the restaurant for 2 hours. Only around 22u did 2 other couples show up. Needless to say the atmosphere was not great. The food (traditional Marrocan) was good and well presented, but did not make up for the lack of atmosphere.
