Great food, good price, sadly lacking atmosphere!

We visited Dar Donab twice in our ten day stay in Marrakech. We really enjoyed it. The food was amongst the best that we had (try the couscous), the wine was lovely and all for a very reasonable price. The restaurant itself is very beautiful with lots of character. The first time we visited we... read more

From the drab busy hub bub streets outside you enter a different world of tranquillity and welcoming smiles , and gorgeous décor inside and out , You pass fountains and pool before you enter the restaurant itself. Staff attentive but not overly so , Menu explanations offered as/if required. We found the restaurant by chance , ventured inside the HOTEL... More

There were six of us and I found the service a bit off hand. I think it is probably more suited to couples. The food was perfectly acceptable.

We ate here on our last visit to Marrakech in March 2014 and again in March 2015 because we knew it would be good. Last year we ate Inside as the weather was a bit chilly, this year we were poolside with a romantic ambience and open starry skies. Very attentive service, a nice welcome and reasonable prices sums up... More

We had one of the more memorable meals during our time in Marrakech here. It was incredibly charming, and the staff were over-the-top welcoming (like so much of Marrakech). The decor was beautiful - huge lamps, a giant fireplace mantle, and a vaulted ceiling. The food was delicious, especially the harira soup. Make sure to save room for dessert!

We were only in Marrakech for 3 nights, but had a dinner and a lunch in this beautiful restaurant. There was a very attractive Christmas tree near the entrance, which pretty much singled the place out for a start in Marrakech. The evening meal (inside the restaurant) was brilliant, aided by the waiter kindly putting us next to the open... More

We ate here twice; both lunch and dinner. The Hotel itself is beautiful and on the basis of the lunch we fled from our hotel and treated ourselves to a nights' stay here. The lunch was very pleasant which we ate in the courtyard. In the evening there was a fire burning in a wonderfully decorated traditional dining room. The... More

Another excellent lunch in this beautiful spot. I originally found this place on the internet and glad I did as if I was walking past I would have been put off by the tourist style sandwich board advertising they have got outside. I think they should scrap that and rely on trip advisor and word of mouth. It is a... More

Good traditional Moroccan food served by polite and attentive staff in peaceful courtyard by pool. Lovely spot to sit outside under a starry night sky. Staying in riad near by - would be great to go for lunch and enjoy the pool too.
