I'm totally addicted to Marrakech, usually visiting from between two to four times a year, and I always try to eat locally rather than with the tourists: the food is better, the prices are better and - usually - the company is better too! I've ended up in some 'interesting' places over the years and can't believe I had not... More

Went there with my boyfriend for lunch, I ordered beef bruchettes and he had rotisserie chicken. Even before we got our mains the table was filled with plates with delicious food like lentils, chips, sauce, bread, olives, rice, etc. At one point we told the waiter we did not order the chips (something you don't expect as a condiment) but... This is a small cafe with about five tables but the food is great. It offered the best value compared to any other eatery we went to. I had the rabbit tagine with was well cooked and the 'moyen' size on its own was enough for the three of us. The patrons seemed to be locals and there was a... More

A café type restaurant recommended by our riad owner as where the locals go. Not easy to find, it is basically a café with plastic tables and chairs. Although it is on the first floor there is no real view of the square. Service was good we ordered water but it did not arrive until the meal was over and... More

We visited this place by the advice of the owner of our Riad. The cafe is located at the Jemma el Fna but is quite difficult to find because it doesn't have huge entrance doors. Find Cafe de France, then go straight to souks leaving it behind from your right, while going always look up until you will see the... More

Great local eatery, excellent quality and value for money. We had dinner for 2 for less than 20 euros. Yes the environment was not ideal, but people were real, simple and honest, like their food. Go there hungry, the portions are really huge.

What a great discovery. I led a group og 11 of us into this tiny restaurant. they quickly put tables together for us and for €50 (total) fed us a three course meal and drinks. it was great and a very substantial lunch. the serice was quick and the restaurant was clearly kept busy with local trade - always a... Tiznit was recommended to us by our Riad as a very good low price option to have traditional Moroccan food near the main square. While the tajine was very good along with a small starter, the place was rather dirty and had the character of a small burger & french fries place. By local standards and judged by the low... More

Great locals restaurant. They gave up tables for us to sit down. Known for their rabbit tagine, it didn't disappoint.

The restaurant/café itself is not that much, but the tajine is AWESOME. The best in Marrakesh, for sure. And cheap as well, 60 dirham i think. Try to get the table close to the window, it gives you a perfect view over Jama el Fnaa.
