I really enjoyed our lunch at this restaurant. It is the standard Moroccan dishes, cooked well and is inexpensive. Considering it is on the main square, this simple restaurant is a good find.

We were recommended to visit this little restaurant which is by jemaa el fna square from one of my Moroccan friend prior going. Now if you are expecting a nice pretty looking tourist type restaurant, then this may not be for you BUT it is a great place to experience some culture as ''real" Moroccans dine there, its very cheap... After the climb the steep stair and look around at the simple tables and strip lighting you may be forgiven for saying 'honestly, I wouldn't eat in a place like this at home'. Shelve that feeling. The food here is delicious; fresh bread, sprinkled with cumin, and a firey dip that epitomises the souks, the most delicious rabbit tagine with... More

It's very cool to eat with regular Moroccans where everything is done well. This is upstairs at one of the entrances to the medina in Marrakech and is kind of tucked away. I was with a group and everyone loved their food. The menu was unbelievable comprehensive. One will find something they like. I thought it was very clean, efficient,... More

I'm totally addicted to Marrakech, usually visiting from between two to four times a year, and I always try to eat locally rather than with the tourists: the food is better, the prices are better and - usually - the company is better too! I've ended up in some 'interesting' places over the years and can't believe I had not... More

Went there with my boyfriend for lunch, I ordered beef bruchettes and he had rotisserie chicken. Even before we got our mains the table was filled with plates with delicious food like lentils, chips, sauce, bread, olives, rice, etc. At one point we told the waiter we did not order the chips (something you don't expect as a condiment) but... This is a small cafe with about five tables but the food is great. It offered the best value compared to any other eatery we went to. I had the rabbit tagine with was well cooked and the 'moyen' size on its own was enough for the three of us. The patrons seemed to be locals and there was a... More

A café type restaurant recommended by our riad owner as where the locals go. Not easy to find, it is basically a café with plastic tables and chairs. Although it is on the first floor there is no real view of the square. Service was good we ordered water but it did not arrive until the meal was over and... More

We visited this place by the advice of the owner of our Riad. The cafe is located at the Jemma el Fna but is quite difficult to find because it doesn't have huge entrance doors. Find Cafe de France, then go straight to souks leaving it behind from your right, while going always look up until you will see the... More

Great local eatery, excellent quality and value for money. We had dinner for 2 for less than 20 euros. Yes the environment was not ideal, but people were real, simple and honest, like their food. Go there hungry, the portions are really huge.
