The setting of this restaurant and inn is near the medina, but a world away in terms of peacefulness. It is a grand building with beautiful architectural details. The setting of this restaurant and inn is near the medina, but a world away in terms of peacefulness. It is a grand building with beautiful architectural details. Met with friends here on recommendation. As reported elsewhere, beautiful room, heavily tiled but lacking in any real atmosphere despite live music and a belly dancer. We hadn't realised that the menu was a fixed 400 Dhs affair which wasn't really what we wanted but it was too late to find somewhere else so we stayed with it. Wine was... More

The combination of architecture, quality of food and service is really excellent. A great menu and wine list were complemented by the service from all the staff. The building used to be the French Ambassadors Palace and it looks like it. Even the belly dancer was young, slim and beautiful and wasn't pushy.

This was our first night in Marrakech and had been recommended to visit for a meal. The surroundings are impressive with lots of tiled walls. The menu limited but I has a lamb tagine which was very good. The rest of the party had fish and this was not up to their expectations but a fish that they were not... More

Ate here first night of trip to Marrakech. There is only a set menu available - either Moroccan or international (though you can mix and match). Although very interesting to look at the restaurant had no atmosphere the night we were there (a Friday!). Service was attentive but slow. There was intrusive background music from a traditional Moroccan musician and... More

This restaurant is the sort of place that one is entertained in when travelling for business as part of an international company group - the place is beautiful, the service is good, the food is fine but the overall experience is not relaxing or fun - despite the musician playing music and the belly dancer it doesn't feel authentic or... Good service, excellent lamb tajine, however the first courses are nothing great. Overall good however one has no choice but to order a full course menú. Wine list is basic and extreemely expensive.

This restaurant, listed as a "Palais d'Hôtes", is a delightful restaurant with a delicious meal in a lovely ambiance, with excellent service. We were a group on a last evening splurge meal and the belly dancer did not detract from our experience, it rather enhanced it for all!

We are traveling with OAT and this was the location of our 'our going away' dinner. Excellent lamb tangine main course. Also the belly dancer made for a fun evening. Great time, great service, loved it.
