good aorntial food

We came a group of 14 hungry men. I attach the menu as some pictures. From the first dish the Salade marocaine is recommended. For the main dish take one of the different Tagine which is a special way of cooking in Morocco. I like the Couscous with lamp meat but you can ask for chicken also. For... read more

Fab food, really good value, quickly served and very tasty, but sadly served in a canteen atmosphere (but who cares, really?). The food was well worth it - just off the Jemma el Fna.

Was referred here by riad owner and loved the experience of non-tourist meal. Enjoyed All of our food...salad marocaine, skewers with fries, beef tagine with egg, and the lamb tagine! Portions were very generous and service was great...helped us with ordering in English!

Even though the interior of the place does not scream romance or luxury, the place is absolutely worth trying out. No wonder that despite their simple interior and catering atmosphere, this place is always full. Food is superb: big portions at ridiculously low prices. Just a couple of steps away from Jemaa el Fna.

Don't be put off by the "basic" look of the place, Oscar Progres is a proper gem. A couple minutes by walk from the main square, but placed in a secondary street: this means it's very easy to get there but also that only people that know where to look will find it. The food is probably the best we... More

After a good meal in a posh restaurant (Le Foundouk in the North of the Medina), we fancied something simpler and cheaper. Previous reviewers have it right and many thanks to them pointing us here, but maybe none of us quite know how to allocate the stars! We had simple but very fresh and tasty food at a reasonable price... More

Well located close to the main square, this small local 'cafe style' eaterie provides very simple, cheap local dishes. Don't expect anything smart. You eat at long benches alongside other diners, the service is straightforward, and the food tasty. We had vegetarian tagine and brochettes d'agneau, both of which were tasty. By no means 'haute cuisine ' but simple food... More

So, my wife and I stopped at this restaurant on our first night in Marrakech. The location is nice...as you're not in the main medan...which can be a bit overwhelming. Service was super quick. We ordered the vegetarian couscous and the kofte. Both were very good. No complaints here!
