Restaurant Oscar is conveniently located in streets next to Djema al fena and offers probably the best value n taste for your money. The menu offers tasty salads, grills n tagines for very reasonable prices (our favourite oeder was Moroccan Salad, Chicken Tagine, Kofta Tagine and grilled Meat n Chicken skewers). There are other (some even fancier looking) restaurants close... More

This place is 2 min away from Jemaa El Fna. It has very fresh food, and the pricing is very cheap. They are used to receiving large groups of tourists.

Our tour guide recommended this place - and we had the slight suspicion it was probably owned by a family member or he may have been on commission. We set off to find it, walked past the Post Office as instructed and got all the way to the next junction, but no Oscars. We decided to walk back the way... More

A classic case of 'never judge a book by its cover'. We were seduced into this place by its bright interior and slightly superior decor, compared with other cheap-food eateries along the rue Bani-Marine. We were further encouraged by the fact that they actually had proper paper serviettes rather than the customary bits of torn-up paper. Paper hand towels, too.... More

Our guide recommended this place for a lunch stop (and notably sat and ate here too!). Very busy with lots of locals, very cheap and tasty food - deserving of it's Tripadvisor certificate. Not flash but a good place to eat at a great price with friendly service.

If you want to taste real Moroccon food and flavour that's the place to go. Both the cous cous and the tajine are simple and very good! It's the perfect place for a quick dinner or lunch with no frills.

It's a reassuring sign when you see lots of locals in a restaurant like this. The food was piping hot and very tasty - the chicken tagine with frites was excellent and SO CHEAP! Great when you're holidaying with 2 hungry teenagers. Staff were friendly too.

This restaurant was more like a canteen. It was clean, had paper table cloths and cafe style settings . The food was very basic but ridiculously cheep! We were advised that the best option was to pick our meat from the display and have it plainly grilled , this we did but found the quality of the cooking a bit... More

No fuss. White, white and white decor. Trestle tables. Thought lamb kebab(6) meant six lamb cubes on a kebab but it actually means six kebabs each with six lamb cubes. Tender, mildly spiced.Buy with couscous and lemon, tomato and onion and mint tea. Chips available if homesick. Excellent. Good food dirt cheap. Go there.

If you're looking for a cheap meal in the city, but don't fancy the stalls in Jemaa El Fna, this is a great little place for tasty skewers and couscous and very low prices. The place was packed when we visited but service was quick and the food hot and fresh. Nothing fancy, but tasty.
