This is a place to go when looking for a good, clean restaurant near the main square with no hassle. It's easy to reach. It reminded me of a working class restaurant in France or Italy: a large counter where meats and salads are on display and long tables. A TV ran the daily parliament. I really liked the menu... Nice restaurant, a moroccan friend recommended this restaurant for typical moroccan food and we went there for dinner: huge portions for low prices!

This place had very good chicken on skewers. We also ordered chicken tajine which was yummy too. The place was clean and environment was ok.

A city tour guide recommended this restaurant to us. Of course, you take all recommendations with a pinch of salt in Marrakech, but we were really pleased and ended up visiting twice during our week-long holiday. We enjoyed the Moroccan salad as well as the cous cous and chicken tagine dishes. It's a simple restaurant that attracts a mix of... More

Place worth to visit if you're looking for good, local and cheap meals. You will eat from plastic table cloth but delicious grilled meat for unbeatable prices. The only place we've visited twice in Marrakech.

Good prices & service. I had a pigeon tagine which in fairness could have been anything, as it was quite tasteless. Only went once.

It's pretty basic, but does what it does well, i.e. serve up nice tasty moroccan food at cheap prices. It seems clean and fairly modern, with a mixed tourist/local clientèle. The chicken and lemon tajine was very nice, although the vegetable tajine was rather insipid, as it is basically steamed vegetables without much flavour (but what was I expecting really...).... After reading other reviews & going by my riad owner's recommendation, I knew to ignore Oscar's barebones setting and wait to be impressed by the food. I was not. The veggie tangine had absolutely no seasonings--no spices, herbs, preserved lemon, dried fruit, nuts or even salt. It was basically plain, boiled veg. My partner's pigeon tangine was similarly under-seasoned/-spiced. The... More

We'd read about this place in a guidebook, and upon finding it we weren't sure it was the same place - it looks a bit like a greasy spoon café, with plastic covers on the school-style tables. But you should never judge a book by its cover! The food arrived in good time, and was delicious - you also get... More

From the outside this doesn't look up to much but it has earned its reputation. Inside is air conditioned and the food and service terrific. Within two minutes of sitting down two tourist groups turned up so we were lucky to order first. The food was absolutely fine and we were well pleased. We had chicken and lamb skewers, 2... More
