By the name I thought it was a cafe... but turned out to be one of my favourite restaurants at my stay in the Medina! Set menus where awesome!

Souk cafe offers really good Maroccan food, in a nice decor, central local in the medina. The roof terrace is particularly nice in the evenings.

We had the set menu which is great value…lots of lovely Moroccan food! One of the best tagines I had in the 3 weeks I was in Morocco! I wouldn't recommend the Moroccan yoghurt though…looked a bit curdled! Service was great too!

We Went here because of the recommendations in tripadvisor. The food was really great, and real Moroccan food. We sat at the rough top. In comparison to other places we have been, there was a little view. However, we have not seen a great view yet. The service was good, they speak both English and French. So far this is... More

The food was really good. Though we went there because it was reviewed as having veggie options on TA (my wife and daughter and vegetarian). There didn't appear to be any more more veggie options and the usual vegetable cous cous and tagines. Though the food was really tasty, I had the best Kefta tagine I had in marrakech there... More

We were recommended this restaurant and as it was close to the riad after a long day, we tried it. We climbed to the rooftop terrace which was great for a warm breezy evening but there was not much to see apart from other rooftops - and the climb back down the smooth steps was a little narrow and slippy!... After finally finding the place - we were guided in by the usual knowledgeable natives (and yes they did get a few dirham!) The atmosphere on the wednesday we visited was relaxed and calm. The environment and decor was comfortable and the staff were efficient and polite. We had the 180MAD set meal and were totally stuffed by the end.... More

We found ourselves in the souk kafe late on a Thursday evening. A distance from the main square, it's worth the trip. I ordered the set menu (110dh, about £8) and it was excellent. The Moroccan soup was lovely. The main course was the Tagine Kefta which was superb; the best tagine I had in Morocco. The dessert was the... More
