This place was recommended by our tour guide and we were glad to have visited! The place was very busy on the day we visited but the food was one of the best we had in Marrakech! Strongly recommend their lamb tagine - it was quite exceptional!

There are many lower cost eateries around the Jemaa El Fna square. This restaurant has a 3 course multiple choice menu for 180 MAD. The service and food is good and we actually shared a meal for lunch. Nice view of the HIgh Atlas Mountains in the distance. We were shown to this restaurant by our guide, we could have... More

Against all advice we were led here by a tout. We went to the roof terrace and were present only with the 180 dhs plat du jour menu. There were five of us and we did not want to spend a fortune. The waiter suggested we just order three meals. I am glad we did because there is no way... More

We went to the restaurant twice, once for lunch and once for dinner. We sat at the roof top Terrance and the weather was pleasant. It was a no frill, reasonably priced restaurant. The food was tasty, the lamb dishes were very good. We found the wait staffs to be very accommodating. The better deal was to select from the... More

We arrived at this place by recommendation of our tour guide. First of all BE CAUCIOUS as it is a buffet and they don't explain that to you. It costs 180 Durham p/p. The service is really slow. On the positive, the location and view of the place is great. I had the vegetable Cous Cous and it was really... More

I came here a couple of times with my family on the basis that they were always busy and the portion sizes were quite large. The first time however, we were dragged by a local of whom he must have seen our hungry faces and thought we were an easy catch (we were quite hungry and didnt know where to... More

It seems that all guides bring their "victims" to eat at the Riad Omar Restaurant. Maybe because it has nice terrace. At any rate, it is more expensive than anything I have seen in Marrakech. 180 dirham for a set menu. Having said that, the amount of food that you eat (specially if you order the salad as a starter)... More

Go somewhere else. Over the years I've been here twice. Therefor I think my view is balanced and qualified. If it is your first time, and as it is just down from 'The Square', you take it all in. The carpeted walls and surroundings etc. It does have a bit of a 'wow' factor. This takes your mind off of... More

We were taken to this restaurant by a local, as many other people seemed to as well. At first we just checked the menu and said we would go back later. The two men at 'reception' were very nice and understanding, which we thought it was nice and refreshing, considering we are in Marrakech. We actually went back and our... More

My family and I arrived and no one greeted us. We waited some 5 mins, and some grumpy waiter asked if we had a reservation, then told us someone would come, but no one came. Another couple of minutes, and we decided to sit down, as the place was half empty. The grumpy guy came, followed by the manager, speaking... More
