Roof top dining in heart of medina

Recommended to us by a local guide as great Moroccan food. Clearly a tourist spot, but doesn't keep the locals from returning. Several bus trips going on when we arrived so service was somewhat slow. Roof top is quiet, but couldn't see view as we had to sit in the shade. Prix fixe menu for lunch... read more

Lovely food - set menu for 180 dirham each good service and wonderful views from the terraces. Can get very busy, but worth the wait.

I've been to Marrakech 5 times and I always make a point to visit Riad Omar. It is the best place for a Chicken & Lemon tagine that I have found, and I've done a lot of research! It's clearly quite a touristy destination for groups, but I would recommend it - the staff are friendly, the portions are generous... More

The choices are not great and as pretty much in all the restaurants the options are reduced to either cous cous or a tagine. This time we ordered a pastilla as we wanted to taste this sweet cake stuffed with chicken and egg. The dish is strange but it's actually not that bad. The other dish we ordered was lemon... More

We were kinda late and lost looking for a place to eat, and we stumbled upon this one in the shawarma street. We were interested in the fact they had chicken pastilla ready - usually you need to order at least 12h before - and rabbit tajine, but they were out of everything interesting - guess it's the usual trick... I popped in here late one evening with my friend to see the view from the rooftop (it has a gorgeous rooftop area) and use the bathroom. We started chatting to the owner or manager and he offered us a free tea and biscuits – refused to take payment even though we tried to insist. Really generous. I'd actually eaten... More

We were brought here by our tour guide at the end of our tour. Was a set 3 course menu for 180 dirham per person, which we thought was quite expensive. Definitely more quantity than quality but still provided a good range of food. Perhaps would have felt better value if we had shared one order between us. Would not... More

Like all other review writers we also were taken here by our guide, drank a cup of tea and were told to book a table because it would be packed by night. Well to the contrary...! Just 4 tables with guests; one super tourist menu without any quality not taste, only the oranges we got as dessert were very tastefull... More

Visited Marrakesh in September. Recommended by our guide to this restaurant. Menu with prices ensured no hidden charges. 4 of us ordered different types of Tajine, all were delicious. I loved especially the Lamb Tajine with plums. The serving was considered big for 180 Dh. In our 12 days of journey covering many cities, the food here was considered the best... More

We were brought here by our hotel manager. The place feels like it's where tourists get dragged to and whomever does the dragging gets a share in the earnings. The quality of the food is below average and is completely tasteless. When asking for the bill, you get asked for tips immediately, which is telling for the kind of service... More
