A good place to hide from the souks frenzy

Slow service but it's worth enjoying the views while waiting in the terrace. It's a real challenge to find this place by your own means. If you get lost ask anyone for directions to Mosk Mouassine. Then you should see the entrance to the alley for the Dar Cherifa on your right (when coming from... read more

I was brought here while on a guided tour of the medina. It's tucked away down an alleyway. Inside there is a magnificent restored courtyard with a shallow water feature as its centrepiece. The walls are lined with photographs and there's some bookcases. The location is very tranquil. I order some mint tea and it was served promptly. I planned... More

Located down a windy side alley and not particularly well signposted but once you've found it the staff were particularly friendly and the food is a cut above the Marrakech average. Well worth setting aside time for a long lunch + the displays and the historic interiors are great for lingering

Me and my partner came here to learn Moroccan cuisine and can thoroughly recommend it! The staff were very obliging; allowing me to cook a meat dish, and my vegetarian partner to simultaneously cook a vegetarian one. I would recommend this, as then you get to taste both! Having some French will help make the conversation flow and will lead... More

Not easy to find and not very known yet but an amazing discovery once you get there and even more when you start eating. The manager, Wahid Zourafi will make sure with his team to deliver an excellent cuisine in one of the most original restaurants in Marrakesh with an excellent and personalised service. Wahid's background is both cook and... More

Cannot disagree more with some of the negative reviews of this place. Haven't seen the rooftop but it's the interior courtyard which is what it's famous for. This is one of those hidden wonders of Marrakech, secreted along a narrow and shaded alleyway. The visitor is welcomed into the dark vestibule, and then awed to step into an impressively-proportioned courtyard... More

Although we were close to the restaurant, one of the employees from the restaurant came to get us and escort us to the restaurant. Not only this, but we had dinner a bit earlier than their normal time of service, and they fully accommodated to us. The staff was extremely attentive, and the food was delicious.

Dine while relaxing on cushions under tents on the roof. Beautiful rooftop terrace, the service is friendly but can sometimes be a little bit slow - probably not the best place if you're in a rush. But I've been there three times so far for late leisurely lunches and enjoyed them all.

A so-so lunch in Marrakesh. Climbed steep stairs -- absolutely NOT wheelchair accessible even downstairs -- to nondescript rooftop where sat in sun on rustic chairs. My cake du jour, an orangey coarse cake, was moist with orangey syrup. The almond milk was full of grit and bits of shell (?) however. Had it been strained the combination of almond... More

Not sure why this place is getting such good reviews. Sloth-like service, limited menu offerings, and incredibly bland food, which is doubly amazing with all of the spices that are available in the city. Not good value for money. Sure, it's a pretty building, but it's a lacklustre restaurant. And one of the many cats wandering underfoot peed on my... More
