Pastries and ice cream

Stopped in here a few times whilst walking to and from Jamaa El Fna as on one of the main walkways to square. Good choice of Moroccan pastries, croissants, delicious pear and almond tarts and ice creams. Seating area at rear

Princes is a patisserie shop with a tea room in the back. They sell both Moroccan and French style pastries. You order your cake at the counter and your drinks and other refreshments from the waiters. There is a dazzling array of cakes to choose from. I eventually decided on tart au citron and it was delicious. Service was prompt.... More

An escape from the busy shopping street, this place is clearly popular with locals. Delicious local and international cakes at very reasonable prices by Western standards.

This place has a desert called 'excellence', which is a pretty big to claim to make if you can't back it up. Thankfully it lived up to its name and then some. Milkshakes would also put a smile on any child's face.

We came here several times during our stay in Marrakech to pick up bakery items. It's the most famous patisserie in Marrakech, located just off the main square on the walking street. Cost is minimal and items are very fresh and authentically French inspired. We enjoyed croissants, cakes and tarts, all very delicious. We saw Many people eating here but... More

The patisserie has a fabulous range of french patisserie. The front of the shop has an ice cream selling window, then behind that are the glass fronted bakery counters. They also sell a range of pancakes, pies etc which can be heated. You choose your cake, pastry or snack at the counter, collect a ticket then go and sit in... More

It was lovely to escape, for a while, from the hustle and bustle of this fascinating city. We chose our pastries from the large selection on offer and retreated to the rear of the shop to sit down for coffee and cake. Service was excellent, prices reasonable and cakes delicious. An added bonus - the reasonably clean and free toilet facilities.

Just off the main square it is where you should go for coffee and cake after your meal as it will be better and cheaper than the restaurant you were at. For example two cappuccino, lemon cake and an almond tart for £3.50! The only negative is the dour furniture in the downstairs room, but at least it is reserved... More
