Well built prix fixe menus of traditional Moroccan fare in a refined setting

Got wind of this place from a Moroccan expat's foodie blog and decided to give it a go. Rather pricey by Marrakech standards, but I would say it's worth it - the restaurant is in a sumptuously restored riad, and service is impeccable. What a great and amazing surprise this place was. The reviews underrate what this restaurant is. We tried to follow the map in tripadvisor but it was deceiving, because of the tricky narrow hidden streets of this city. When we were almost giving up, a local person guided us to the restaurant. When we got there we stumbled to a... More

Booked the restaurant for a surprise Birthday party even before coming in to Morocco. The food, the service and the whole atmosphere was very pleasant and come with a good value. It was little difficult to find but overall a good lunch. Not sure how the area is during evening as you need to explore through some alleyways from the... More

The restaurant is in a very small riad in a cul-de-sac of the old Medina, not very easy to find Mai be because of the heath we felt uncomfortable all the evening..an anguish feeling of being trapped. The Moroccan cuisine served is really less than ordinary..The lemon chicken tajine was very dry Not to bad the service, but is not... More

We ate here on our last night in Morocco and were truly stunned by the amazing decor, music choice and general atmosphere, which was a journey back in time to the 1920s. I felt like Rose on the Titanic. Next time we come, I'm going to wear a ball gown, that's how special it was! The food was very delicious... More

This place is heavenly; the decor, the service, the mysterious backstreet location - it's an enchanting and cultural feast. From the (harmless) snake on the rooftop veranda, with a view over the city, to the beautiful and lofty traditional square where you dine... it's glorious. The food is exquisite, and the whole experience, one of the best available in Marrakech.... More

Eating here is truly an amazing experiance. The interior is amazing and the service is very good. Also we enjoyed the food and unlike in the other reviews, we didn't think the portions were too big (just leave the bread alone and you'll be fine). The only thing we didn't like was that we felt rather rushed with the three... More

We enjoyed Le "petit diner". You can choose from three sizes of the menu, ranging from 350 to 550dh, which gives you 1, 2 or 3 main courses. The rest stays the same. Aperitif and half a bottle of wine is included in the price. The ambience and the service is truly five star as well. Just the way there... More

We arrived at the most beautiful house after navigating down the side streets. The food was spectacular, the chicken tagine had the most delicious, rich sauce and it more than beat our expectations. By far the best meal in Morocco so far! Fantastic service, the most romantic setting and extremely reasonably priced (£60 for 2 including all our drinks).

You find the large wooden door to this riad/restaurant after walking down some dark, quiet alley ways. It took them a while to answer the knocker and it was only the jostick burning outside that indicated they were open. We had no reservation but we asked to see the menu. What a surprise when you enter this place with its... More
