Treat yourself

We stayed at this riad, so if you read my review of that, you will have read about the food. If you don't stay here, then treat yourself to lunch (or dinner) on the open air roof top. You will not be disappointed. You can even take a cooking class here and go to the local markets to buy your... read more

I nearly didn't want to go anywhere else, after our first meal in Marrakech at the Riad Kniza restaurant. We did return for our last night as well, which seemed fitting. The food is of such outstanding quality that it's difficult to describe. The quantity is also insane...almost too much but we weren't going to complain! It's pricier than many... More

We visited the restaurant for my husband's 30th birthday. The hotel staff were fantastic and came to meet us at our taxi to personally walk us to the riad. The food was delicious! Many courses and a real taste of Morrocco. We were just disappointed we couldn't finish it all! The interior of the riad was beautiful and the restaurant... More

This riad is down a small alley which cannot be accessed by car. It's not easy to find if you don't know your way but you only have to say the name out loud and one of the locals will show you the way. The sign outside is tiny next to a huge solid wooden door and you could easily... More

Realy it's a lovley place, goood food, friendly staff, the chef is young lady of small stance but the most amazing talent. Our only warning is to arrive hungry! Thank you Kniza for such an enjoyable opening evening in Marrakech!

The elegantly presented tables and food set in the restaurant with a cosy wood fire burning in the large fireplace.

The restaurant has a limited menu, specializing in Moroccan food. However, you can have a choice of fish, chicken or lamb. There is the "full" menu meal and the "short" menu meal. Our table had the "full" menu lemon chicken and lamb dishes. Both were excellent, both were the best we had in Morocco. The servings are large and can... More

Collected by a staff member of this fabulous Riad, the experience started by walking through a Souk and along an unmade path of rubble, but on arrival - WOW - an oasis of wonder. Beautifully fragrant, exquisitely decorated and for 45 euros a head we were fed course after course of wonderfully tasting food with excellent service. We asked to... More

The Riad is the epitome of service and elegance. At check in we were shown to a lovely salon where mint tea and Morrocan cookies were served while our paperwork was processed. Soft music and a warm fire added to the ambiance. Dinner was a series of courses that were unusual and delicious. Every aspect of our stay exceeded our... More
