All good

Excellent food, friendly service. This restaurant is a little difficult to find but worth the effort. We loved the kefta tagine - you MUST try it. Ambiance is nothing wonderful but eating with the locals is nice. Recommend this place

What can I say that others haven't. It is cheap, and the food is very tasty and authentic. Don't expect a nice, well decorated eatery, this is typically local and a bit messy, but well worth the visit. We were the only tourists when we visited, with maybe 8 locals inside, and we didn't feel intimidated or anything, so don't... More

Found this restaurant thanks to TripAdvisor.. The exterior of the restaurant is a little deceiving and may even look like a butcher. The inside looks a bit canteen like with long tables and chairs but really cannot fault this place for food. We landed up eating here twice on our holiday. For starters we had the morrocan salad with traditional... More

This no frills restaurant is close to the Jemaa al Fna, the hub of the old city. It serves very good traditional Moroccan dishes at very reasonable prices. We had calves liver which was excellent. The restaurant is presided over by its very genial owner.

This was easily my favourite restuarent in Marrakech. The décor is very basic, but it is clean and the food was fresh and tasty. My partner and I shared chicken brochettes, beef meatballs, lamb sausages, a portion of chips and a bottle of Coke. We were also served complimentary bread and olives. We paid 97DH for this which was the... More

We had read the recent mixed reviews and knowing Marrakech we know not to judge just by the looks of a place so we went along for dinner. We had a large portion of chips (14dhs) and vegetable couscous (30dhs) to share between two, I had the lamb chops (28dhs) and my partner had sausages (24dhs). The food was served... More

We wanted an authentic Moroccan meal and that's what we got. This place is a local restaurant as well as a tourist one, the food is honest; quality, value-for-money, and taste comes above the show and precision of some of the more expensive options in the area. I can definitely recommend Al Bahja; you will love the food and the... More

Really solid traditional cooking with a traditional vibe. Great food and great prices. steer clear if a youre a daily mail reader - you wont like it and you will almost certainly find it dirty.

My friend told me about this place and it was pretty hard to find. Huuuge, tiled room, clean tables. Some of staff were speaking English so thanks to one man we were able to translate some food from French language (big plus !!) My friend ordered a lamb steaks with Moroccan salad and was very very positively impressed of its... More
